Iowans for Christian Leaders in Government Put Presser on Vander Plaats

........" YOU AND MR. GINGRICH SHARE A MUTUAL FRIEND IN JIM NUSSLE

In 2006, Mr. Nussle ran for Governor and asked that you serve as his running mate; an offer your willfully accepted.

In the nineties, Mr. Nussle’s current wife was working for Mr. Gingrich; while Mr. Gingrich’s current wife was working for a committee which Mr. Nussle served on in the House of Representatives.

Furthermore, both men were married when they began affairs with each other’s staff members – all while Mr. Gingrich was leading the investigation into Bill Clinton’s extramarital affair with Monica Lewinsky. This is an unfortunate irony.

More importantly, it points to a willful disregard of personal behavior and you are forever linked to both of these candidates in a way that is unacceptable for many of us who demand Christian leadership.

Which brings us to our next concern."....

If his intent were to detain and arrest every illegal who show themself he would be arresting and deporting every person that applies for his In State tuition for illegals.

Damn Rick don’t think we are all too stupid to see through this one.

M<aybe you should think this over. Not that I am against it mind you, but it doesn’t make sense for someone who approves of In state tuition.

So being against them getting cheaper tuition rates than out of state citizens is HEARTLESS but kicking them all out of the country isn’t?

Color me confused.

(But to be honest, with the Cain train derailing I’m still looking)

Get Perry to support the following and he automatically becomes the front-runner overnight:

1. Use E-Verify for all employment and all acquisition of Social Services
2. Build a complete border fence, not just strategic, but complete.

If he will do it if he wins the Presidency,

Why can’t he do it NOW as a sitting Governor?
Notice he does not mention anything about the here and now.
What he can do NOW, as Governor.

Therefore, he is not serious. Just promises.

Would this include all illegal Texas residents who are attending universities with in-state tuition rates?

"My policy will be to detain and deport every illegal alien who is apprehended in this country," Perry said. "And we'll do it with an expedited hearing process so that millions of illegal aliens are not released into the general population with some hearing date down the road."

Good. He's catching up to Newt's plan, which has had this in it from the start.

I just listened to him on Sean Hannity. The one thing I always appreciate is how enthusiastic he is about governing. His plans are action plans not just discussing ideas in meetings. If he gets hung up on the silly gotcha moments, it’s almost understandable. For God’s sake, he’s a sitting governor. He doesn’t have the same mindset as a congressman, an ex-congressman, an ex-governor or a business-rescue executive. He’s head and shoulders above the fray and I’m suddenly beginning to see how he may have wanted to avoid it. As he said to Sean, how often do you have to debate? And we already have a smooth-talker in the White House. I hope the people will listen to what he’s saying.

CW: Here he is saying what we want him to say, promising to do what we want him to do, and there are still skeptics. You can’t really blame them, can you?
I guess it’s is his fault for waiting so long. The way I see it, it’s like `No new taxes!’ and Bush the elder. Our promise to him, Break your word and you’re fired. He broke his word.
The guv can’t be this stiff and as big a spaz in front of family and friends as he is in front of voters. Why can’t he just loosen up? (without sounding hammered)
Well, at least he’s saying the right things now and he’s got Joe behind him, and that’s saying a lot. Politics is a lot like `football time’ (as my wife complains): a lot can happen in a football minute.

What good is deporting illegals when they will be back ASAP?

Any deportee found in this country should be given a year of HARD labor to pay for the cost of finding them.

Very confusing, earlier this month you posted an article where Perry was pushing for a US visa program to let illegal immigrants come and go freely.

Now he's saying he would deport them. It maybe flip-flopping on Perry's part or it maybe his campaign panicking with only 5 weeks left till the primaries, but it's good flip-flopping. I hope that Perry goes all out on this and makes it clear that he's serious about this..

Along with this, he should apologize for calling us heartless.

Will Perry deport them before tax payers pay for their education, or after?

During a campaign the air is full of speeches - and vice versa.

Hey CW!!!

Remember less than a few months ago whenever you posted something about Perry I'd post back a pimp chalice? Because, as I put it, you were "Pimpin for Perry". I'd bash Perry like crazy too.

Sorry about that. I have gotten to know Perry and the people around him. This happened after the brightest person I have ever met started to support Perry. A person that was a long time Democrat who has left the Democrat party. I am convinced that Perry is our best chance. This is his kind of campaign. He can go toe-to-toe with whatever his name really is. He has the structure and backing to beat the faker.

“The federal government has failed on border crime and border enforcement, and no candidate for president has done more to secure the border than Governor Rick Perry,” Sheriff Joe Arpaio, of Maricopa County, said in a statement. “I’m endorsing Rick Perry because we need a tough-on-crime president who will champion and fund full-time border security operations from Brownsville to San Diego.”

It's only a matter of time before some clever anonymous freepers start talking about La Raza Joe.
