In a conference call this morning, Herman Cain told his senior staff that he is reassessing whether to remain in the race

BINGO!..I liked Cain..but it’s time for him to go..and I’m getting tired of all those here who want to give him a pass. WE are NOT the same as Dems and liberals..we have values..and for pete’s sake, a Baptist minister who can’t keep his fly zipped is NOT who I want for my nominee..
I liked him. I hadn’t made up my mind yet but he was at the top.
I will vote for Michele Bachmann.
But we are going to get Romney because it is his turn and the others will be destroyed by the media.
Replay of 2008.
The Dems can put up a guy like Clinton because the left doesn’t care if they have “issues”.
Our side? We bail. LOL
The liberals job with Cain is complete.
I know. With Cain - these were just allegations. But with Newt?
A fact of life.
Bachmann reax on Jan Mickelson show, WHO radio, Des Moines: I think the language used is “code” that they are looking at the viability of their campaign...
I agree.
LOL. An absurd comment. Like Herman Cain is THE only person suitable to be president? The man routinely displayed an embarrassing lack of knowledge about a number of issues related to being president, and flubbed many issues that are important to conservatives.
I bet he wishes now he had either kept it in his pants or stayed out of the race.
That, of course, presumes that the story has any merit to it.
If the story is legitimate, then it reinforces the cynical but potentially correct view that Cain was never serious about running, he just wanted the publicity for book sales and listeners, and maybe to "drive the debate" on a topic or two. With Palin bailing, Bachmann immolating, and Perry falling flat on face, he found himself in the unexpected position of serious challenger -- at that point, all he could do would be to hope that this stuff didn't come out. That would at least be a logical explanation, but it does rely on several assumptions.
Yup.
But then again, we couldend up with lots of questions about special underwear and secret marriages and dead baptisms. Good night. What's left, Perry? George Bush without the eloquence.
I wish we could turn back the hands of time to late May / early June, and get rid of the entire slate of so-called republicans currently running for president.
In my alternate reality, the new slate of eight would be, in no particular order.....
1. Sarah Palin
2. Jim DeMint
3. Paul Ryan
4. Tom McClintock (GOP congressman from northern Calif.)
5. Alan West
6. Bobby Jindahl
7. Marco Rubio and
8. George Allen of Virginia
No, no. Don’t quit. Open it wide for Mitt.
lol.
Freddie Mac paying him 1.6 million for a no-show “job” in order to convince the GOP not to tighten oversight of the “model agency” was old news?
And BTW I liked Herman Cain. I haven’t settled on a candidate to back, but he was closest.

Over? Did you say ‘Over’?! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?
The OTHER reason is that with all this crap he can’t spend any time campaigning. I am so sick of these assasins. I hope if he does quit and he is not lying that he goes after all these women for character assasination. I would give to his legal defense fund!
I’ve decided to register as a Democrat. If Obama gets reelected watch for the government to give preferential treatment, healthcare, etc. to anyone with a D after their name. Republicans will be persecuted. I’m not kidding. Of course I will never ever vote D.
