In a conference call this morning, Herman Cain told his senior staff that he is “reassessing” whether to remain in the race. He told them he will make his final decision “over the next several days.”

His entire staff is looking for jobs as I type. He is done.

A third pary is not an option unless we want a repeat of Ross Perot. Romney or Newt is what it is going to boil down to.

Pick your poison.

If he doesn’t run, I’m not voting. For the first time in my life (30+ years of voting), I will not vote.

Gingrich had an affair and he’s considered viable. I’d like to see one politician who’s squeaky clean.

He should stay in until people actually vote.

A bit or wryness with your brew I sense. Yes of course it has worked time and again. The number of times let me count. Uh - give me a hint, please. The first one, spot me if you please.

Well, isn't that a refreshing thought, LOL! So true. Let the people decide.

You have a funny tagline, btw. :)

“IF true...WHY do these guys run for national office with all these skeletons in the closet?”

And when he goes, this will be 2008 all over again. Congratulations, Democrats, you’ve chosen our nominee again.

IF true...WHY do these guys run for national office with all these skeletons in the closet?

Ego. But in the case of Cain I don't think he ever thought he was going to become a top tier candidate, much less the frontrunner with the scrutiny that brings. He was going to go out on the road, get some publicity, be a gadfly at debates, sell some books and enhance his pundit credentials for future media contracts.

Bummer.

You don’t make a statement like that unless it’s already over. It also means he’s done as VP.

Next media target: Newt.

After they destroy Newt there will be only one candidate left standing: Mitt.

It also appears we have no 3rd party candidate with any chance to win. In other words, we hold our nose and vote for Mitt, or we indirectly vote to let Obama finish the destruction of our nation.

Personally, I suspect it’s too late to stop what’s coming regardless of who we nominate...

It just doesn’t look good for the home team. Seriously, I am really saddened by the turn of events with Cain. It would have been better if had not entered at all but he did - so - next victim, step forward, please.

I agree.

I am supporting Herman Cain and he owes his supporters an explanation of exactly what his relationship was with Ginger White.

Right now if Herman Cain drops out of the race I have no one that I would avidly support.

If it's between Newt and Mitt, I think the less of the two evils would be Mitt.

I would still vote for him if he is on the ballot ! As mentioned before, I am tired of the choice of full socialism or socialism lite. I want to vote for anti-socialism like Reagan ! Tired of lesser of two evils !

Good response here by Erick Erickson as to why conservatives will lose with Mitt.

Michael Medved Rejects Conservatives and Embraces Romney

I wrote that if Mitt Romney wins conservatism would lose. Michael Medved has taken to the Wall Street Journal to prove my point, as well as call out both Rush Limbaugh and me. Through his various straw men, Michael Medved does two things.....

He should drop out and run as a Democrat.

Then he’ll win for sure.

The only difference being that this time the MSM is choosing Romney, who lost to McCain in the primary, who lost to Obama in the general election. Yuh, that'll work! (The GOP can forget about my vote and my money this time).

I say, lets help push this rotted corpse of a country off the cliff. The beauty part is to do this, we only need to step back and do nothing. Obama and the MSM will do the "heavy lifting". The country won't be worth saving after a double dose of Obama.
