I know many people personaly also, hell I got kinfolk I thought I knew prety well, come to find out I didn’t know as much as I thought I did. Most divorces in this country come about because the person they lived with wasn’t known all that well. When it comes right down to it, we can only anticipate what someone may or may not do, we never really know.

You know what I mean. Surely there were all kinds of people, men and women acting, in a sense, like groupies, wanting to hang around a self-made successful businessman ONLY to further their careers, nothing more. That, in and of itself is not necessarily a bad thing, it happens in the business world all the time, as long as things are kept on a strictly professional level.

"For reasons which utterly escape me, of the guys I know who cheated on their wives, their wives were invariably better looking than the honeys they had on the side."

Wow, I've never cheated on my wife. But common sense tells me that you upgrade in the looks department if you're going to cheat on your wife. I mean, you're not cheating with the woman because she stimulates your mind, right? You don't rent a cheap motel room to go and discuss the merits of the Austrian school of economics.

It is certainly allowed and thanks for sharing.

I am amazed as the stupidity of some remarks. Cain is know as being generous due to his background. People who need help usually need it because they are not in good shape personally or money wise. If they were they wouldn't need help.

Cain is generous and sadly it is now backfiring. Not unusually, I know I have been screwed over by people I help, but the ones who do right afterward make it worthwhile.

At some point, don’t you have to ask “why does this guy have friends like this? And why are they doing it? Would mine do me this way?”

In business for 40 years and all of these allegations are coming from the 3 year period when he was CEO of the restaurant association. That is unusual. He would have had many other opportunities over the years.

Many men go through a mid life crisis later in life and try to reaffirm their manliness by having affairs or in some cases just heavy flirting. These women all appear to be desperate women whose lives are a mess and would be easy pickings.

On the other hand, these allegations appear to be classic dirty politics which have been a staple of democrats for many years. Unsubstantiated "he said, she said" stories promoted by the MSM are considered gospel while the stained blue dresses are questionable .

I suspect the truth is somewhere in the middle. Cain probably said some flirty things to some star struck train wreck of a woman who then embellished the encounter into a full blown sexual affair. And now Axlerods crew are using them to attack Cain.

Think whatever you like... I have interacted with the man for several yrs, he and his staff....

We have worked together on projects for the homeless, events, etc...

I know his demeanor....now- I would believe an affair over the sexual harassment accusations...but this woman’s story is out of character for him...I have been replaying all of my meetings, calls, email, etc with him in my head....none of my experiences with him are consistent with this woman’s story of the way he even talks and interacts with people...

but maybe a personal account is not what you want...maybe a bunch of speculation from pundits who DON’T KNOW him, and want another elitist politico insider in the White House is more trustworthy for you....

“we never really know” can be said about ANYONE over ANYTHING— and should hold so much more weight than the words of someone who actually knows the man......no wonder DC is filled with corruption...

“Why?”

Because of....

It right out of Obama’s campaign tactics book history.

Democrat’s history of sexual allegations/campaigns of personal destruction against any Conservative Black al a Clarence Thomas (which has never ended and is ongoing by the way)

The obvious orchastrated/timed nature of these allegations coupled with the shady history/backgrounds of the accusers......

The known fact that Democrats play as dirty a game of politics as they can.......while Republicans are known for their more stated demeanor.......( street fighter vrs Marques of Queensbury,)

Ever read “Billy Budd Foretopman” by Herman Melville? It’s a short, easy read once you get past the compound/complex opening sentence......or see the movie starring Terrance Stamp/Dan Duryea , if that’s easier........

Give it a shot there, Jimmy Legs.

or......

you go ahead, play their game, using their rules, on their home court, while employing your sense of fair play...... just don’t cry in my beer when Obama gets re-elected......

SCRATCH ONE UPPITY BLACK....
I did not review the NYT release because I’m certain they will be playing the accuser is another “victim” card. Which was set up by FOX in the initial story.

Rusty Humphries interviewed the local FOX reporter who broke the story on the local FOX affiliate...From which media types from everywhere cites...is using..

OK what facts did that FOX reporter cite ? ...She had Cain’s cell phone number from which the reporter contacted Cain. And Cain acknowledged he knew her... That in essence IS the basis for the charge... The reporter did not go any futhur or demonstrate proof of a continuing liason for the years claimed by Cain’s accuser. Which should have been done

The FOX reporter then went into a political diatribe which would fit in neatly with the political attack. Well the reason she came forward was because she was a victim and the other accusers were also victims using a device I call the GS/BS (GS being Gloria Steinem) campaign device.

Now who would want to see Cain go down.???..For sure the Obama hyphenates The Dema-Coms they can’t have some uppity black diverting black votes which they control...Who else has their hands on this ?? ...Well the hyphenated democrats the dema-coms will be busy pointing out who on the RINO side of the aisle were stupid enough to eagerly jump on this. The hyphenates doing it to gin up their black base against that candidate ..

Thus assuring the contiuning American disaster..

Unfortunately, Cain - and any other GOP candidate (other than Romney) who lead the pack - are dealing with a whole other evil, determined enemy that will stop at nothing to destroy them. They fear Cain. They REALLY fear Cain. They also fear Newt. They want Romney to get the GOP nomination. Obama and his handlers are as evil and conniving an any I’ve seen.

Cain should not back down.

Divide and Conquer???? lololol Nice try......

Sorry this all comes straight out of the Democrat/Alinski playbook.....it’s not like we haven’t seen this before....

They’ll stop using it when we quit giving it credence.....

“Ever read “Billy Budd Foretopman” by Herman Melville?”

As a matter of fact, I did. I thought it a pale version of Doestesvski’s “The Idiot.”

I’m sure you are familiar with that.

Not familiar with “Jimmy Legs” but I’m sure it’s suitably cutting.

Because they’ve done it before, that does not mean this isn’t true. You need more exposure to logic than literature, I think. I’ll wait for the vetting to be done, thanks.

Agreed. Cain needs to stay in and fight until either proof finally is presented or the primary is over.

Thank you! I have an uncle who went to HS with David Berkowitz (Son of Sam) Does that mean he played a role in any of those girls getting shot? Guilt by association.

"I don’t know about you, but this “string of BIMBOS that you are whining about all turn out to be friends of his.

At some point, don’t you have to ask “why does this guy have friends like this? And why are they doing it? Would mine do me this way?”

Maybe because the $$$$$$$$$ amount was high enough to make it worth the time & reputation.

Friends come and go. Not all friends are true & not all friends are loyal. All of the accusers did not say they were friends, anyway. Cain said that he knew them because of where they were employed while he was the CEO.

It’s no fun when you make my point for me. I know a lot of people too, but not with records like some of these have...not even casually...they’re not the girls next door. And they aren’t the people I want the potential leader of my country to have as acquaintances either.

And he says himself he bailed them out of financial jams, and....cripes, this last one that he admits knowing at LEAST real well...at LEAST...I would have told this one to shut up and get away from me a long time ago...I don’t enjoy saying this and I know the lib scum will say anything, but I don’t know this guy any better than anyone else on this board and I doubt you do, either.

I’m not even saying I believe it. I am saying, however, that the future of this country is at stake like it’s never been before and we better get this done right...and this is the FOURTH first place runner we’ve had!

If it isn’t true...he’ll be able to weather it. If he can’t...well...that says plenty. We need someone that we won’t get into the final days and “SURPRISE.”

And we get stuck with that jug eared SOB in the WH for four more years, we just might not come out of this.

I’m sorry for this man’s troubles, but I’d just as soon get the vetting done and behind us before we all lose our minds over anyone. If he’s innocent, he’s in an even BETTER position than when it started.
