While Newt Gingrichs unexpected rise to the top of the Republican primary ladder had taken the spotlight off of the numerous sexual allegations against Herman Cain for some time, but that problem came barreling back into headlines today as Cain himself broke the news of a new accusation: a thirteen-year affair.
On tonights Factor, Bill OReilly had some pessimistic remarks on the matter, wondering whether Herman Cain can survive any more of this.
Joined by panelists Leslie Marshall and Janine Turner, OReilly noted that on his program they were not going to get into this, meaning the details of the affair, but did note it is a legitimate question whether Herman Cain can survive any more of this.
The panelists expressed the same concern, as Turner noted that especially in a conservative race, its going to be tough, but that weve had wonderful leaders throughout the course of our history that were great thinkers that had affairs.
Marshall had a more optimistic approach, noting that things look bad but between now and November 2012 is a lifetime in politics.

I’m sorry, but I have to sink his bid for the GOP.
I know a friend who has a second cousin that will testify that she saw Herman Cain pick his nose when he was 4 years old!
I agree with one of your points...the MSM will just move down the line in assasination of the Repubs.
(And will protect their own).
Don’t you have your own candidate?
Just asking.
The question is how to begin? The answer is to deny the allegations and offer proof either way.
I'll wait for the proof. Allegations only play to agendas.

Thank God I never had to serve with you in a foxhole, then, in the midst of a s-storm of a field battle.
Which is why it is important they be energetically challenged and called on it.
The best answer to hate speech, is more speech.
Seems it was an August, 2011 Gawker originated story with anonymous sources from top to bottom. Even the reference to Bill’s “failed marriage” was said to be a term that was anonymously sourced. Guess it was a fire starter against FOX, because they had dissed Gawker as being down 75% in readership. Apparently nothing to it.
She coulda put up some proof in the interview.
Why talk about the number of texts and calls without specifying one single one that would make clear Cain’s view of her and their relationship?
Why just an ambiguous “there were 61 texts or calls to or from” when it would only take one text with damning evidence?
You say if challenged she’d put up proof. Why not sooner? She went on TV with a story she knew would be national and couldn’t furnish one physical shred of proof just her words?
Why with every one of these accusations against Cain there is not one single smoking gun?
Turner’s quote is pretty heartburn-inducing, but I’ll give her a little pass this time, since she is virtually one of the ONLY celebs around who ever spoke nicely of Sarah Palin. Unlike most other Hollywood celebs, whose expressions tended to range from refering to her as an “evil bitch” to calling for her death!
Proof?!?!? Hah! With the stupid electorate in this country, who needs proof?
If its true, and it sounds like it probably is, she’ll be able to back up her claims with notes, messages, gifts, dates, etc. 13 years is a long time... So I also think Cain is done. Personally I think if someone can’t keep their vows to their spouse I have little expectation they will keep them with the constitution/electorate.
Newt has some serious baggage made far worse by his fairly recent going Gore book.
Bill! Is that you?!
You sound “concerned”.

So why are you so hasty to covict? That works both ways.
Why?
She’s waiting for Cain to dig in. Then she’ll dump it all if she’s telling the truth.
BUWHAHAHAHA!
Not happining, noooooobody is gonna believe President Fairy Princess would ever think to do that.
Much less FIVE times...
.
maybe O’Reilly just doesnt’ like black people /ok I’ll put the /sarc here, but just barely
Yes, they do, for someone such as Herman Cain.
Yet, ironically, it looks as though the party is moving toward nominating someone who is a proven adulterer, multiple times, WHILE in public office and WHILE condemning the POTUS for his sexual misconduct. And if so nominated and elected, the First Lady will have gained her position by way of starting an affair with a married congressman while she worked as a congressional aide.
