How did Sen. Feinstein get ATF gun trace data in violation of Tiahrt Amendment?
Gun Rights Examiner ^ | 11/28/11 | David Codrea

Persons within the Department of Justice whose identities are not yet publicly known apparently broke the law by leaking firearms trace data to Sen. Dianne Feinstein, which she introduced in the Senate Judiciary Committee record in the hearing on Department of Justice oversight earlier this month.

“If I may,” Senator Feinstein requested at the beginning of her questioning of Attorney General Eric Holder (see webcast, at the 69:45 mark), I'd like to put in the record the official firearms trace data from the Department of Justice from 12/1/2006 to 2000...excuse me, 9/30/2011...this is guns [unintelligible] Mexico.”

Left unchallenged and unsaid is how Feinstein obtained the data, which is prohibited by the Tiahrt Amendment from being shared with anyone but law enforcement agencies and prosecutors, and only then in the course of a criminal investigation. That prohibition extends even to Senator Feinstein, as evidenced by the failed attempt earlier this year by Rep. Adam Schiff “to allow Congressional committees to be included on the list of entities to which the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms can disclose part or all of the contents of the Firearms Trace System database.”

"DiFi lives in the Pacific Heights sector of San Francisco —I have been to her house."

Post a picture of it so we can see it to!

Much as I respect you and your 'serious' positions, your information on DiFi's husband is bogus, false and unhelpful to Free Republic. Diane lives with her husband, Richard Blum.

Blum is the primary owner and CEO of Blum Investments and Blum Capital. He isn't a lawyer and doesn't represent the Chicoms. His investments of size include URS Corp and Perini Corp , both major recipients of Defense Dept. contracts, combined larger than received by Halliburton Corp. He was and still may be the Consul General of Nepal here in San Francisco.

Blum is also a University of California graduate and started as a stock broker with a prominent local firm years ago. He presently serves as a Regent on the UC Board of Regents.

Diane's second husband was Benjamin Feinstein, a local judge who passed away before she became Mayor of San Francisco in the 1980's.

As far has her being the wealthiest person in Congress "by a factor of 3 or 4", most unlikely when you consider that just in the Senate you have a Rockefeller, a Kohl and a Warner.

I’m telling ya,
Go to your local penny saver, gun show whatever and buy a gun from a private individual.
Do not register or report this purchase.
Buy lots of ammo for it and make sure it works.
Hide it and NEVER tell anyone.

That poor bear! Did you take that picture? We saw a cat on the side of the road with a jar stuck on it’s head. We stopped and broke the jar. I hope someone did that for the bear.

DiFi’s husband has profited mightily from deals with the ChiComs. His cover is posing as a pro-Tibet person. The ChiComs admire this kind of deception. Their house is decorated with Tibetan art and I suppose Chinese art too.

Which is why Di will never utter a peep against war. Her husband profits handsomely from endless war.

“How did Sen. Feinstein get ATF gun trace data in violation of Tiahrt Amendment?”

The same way Hillary got her hands on FBI files?
Illegally.

Let’s just say that among Democrats, Sen. Feinstein keeps a noticeably low profile. Not low enough however to recuse herself when the Senate Committee on Military Oversight which she chaired dealt with budget issues for the conflict in Iraq.

Given the wide ranging scope of F&F RICO statutes should apply here.
Committing crimes to cover up crimes is part and parcel of racketeering.

Real question is why anyone would believe the data would not be shared.

We are very near the end phase of our nation. The next act will not be pretty.

Yup, URS,Inc. which has former repub Sen. Bill Frist (TN) on it’s BOD. URS has contracts far in excess of anything Halliburton ever got-— but you will NEVER hear about it in the liberal press because of Sen. Fine Shine.

The point of the article though is quite valid. How did the good Senator get this information, since it is a major violation of Federal Law, and since she is also a major opponent of the 2nd Amendment (you know, doesn’t like those “scary looking” guns that shoot every time you pull the trigger). This truly bears some looking into.
