“Barney Frank withdraws from body politic to enter annals of history.”

Rat leaving a sinking ship.Indeed. He'll take his fat pension and slink out the back door rather than face the voters about his involvement in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. He'll live high while we struggle with the debt his corruption and mendacity has left us.
May he rot in Hell.

With David Gregory’s wife being their lawyer,
and GE paying NO taxes, surely NBC will get RIGHT ON IT.

That’s exceptionally good news, I wondered why Barney had been so quiet of late, now I know. He must be planning a wedding to Coach Sandusky.

Why he's retiring is probably more important than the fact that he is.
He's not running, but can he hide?

First of many more old bulls, I suspect.
If Frank thought that there was at least a 5% chance that the Dems could retake the House, he'd stay on. In reality, the GOP will hold the House, and probably increase its majority, for the rest of the decade..
Can't wait to hear Debbie Wassamatta Schultz spin this one..

How protected from prosecution is an
ex congresscritter?
I know, there should be none, wheteher in or out ... but OUT of Congress should be easier.

Lets think about this...
It must be an investigation, he has been so quiet....
* It isn't Justice Dept initiated, you have Holder, he won't go after him period..
* Is it the SEC, or the FBI, some organ not totally beholden to Holder.
* If it becomes a slap on the hand type of event he ends up as a lobbyist.

Dang! Now Rush will have to retire “Banking Queen” and “My Boy Lollipop”. I might be mistaken but I think he was the only Congressman ever to have TWO theme songs on Rush...
