Funny, I just posted to you without reading that. It’s very true but the mods may back Cain and not really care.

Altura, do you want to know who these guys candidates are, go lurk at a Cain thread. They are peacefully discussing their candidate. Can't say I have seen dragnet there specifically but I will be looking for him. I have seen many others. They can't tell you why Cain is better because he's not.

Yeah, I came to that conclusion a while back but just testing my theory because shield doesn’t totally agree.

She thinks they may be dem operatives but I’ve caught too many of them oohing and ahing over Cain.

That still doesn’t explain to me why they attack Perry and no one else. They claim not to regard him as a threat so why do they bother?

I wonder if it could because their clueless leader hates Perry for some reason I’ve not been able to fathom.

Boots on the ground people are going to enjoy subsidizing illegals with Perry. Sheriff Joe should have gone with a better candidate in my opinion. I guess for me it would be Rick Santorum, Herman Cain or Michele Bachmann. They want to close the borders. Perry doesn’t. He is actively against a fence. The main thing for me is that Perry is against the fence. But it is even worse that he wanted to give breaks to illeglas that everyone legal doesn’t get.

Maybe Joe understands the border situation a little more than you, him being in the business and all.

Also, Texas does NOT give breaks to illegals that everyone legal doesn’t get. Anyone who have residence in Texas for a year qualifies for in-state rates. Illegals have to be residents for THREE years with other caveats that legals don’t have to meet.

Get past the anti-Perry talking points from the DNC.

Same thing here in Kansas. Palin went and endorsed the losing candidate for senate in the Republican primary in 2010.

He lost to another guy who actually had backed Palin and held a fundraiser for her and McCain in 2008. But Palin was swayed by Rove, Hannity and Levin who misguidedly went for the other guy.

No harm no foul as you said because the losing candidate traded places with the guy who replaced him in the House. He now runs the Kansas GOP.

So it happens, The guy who won the race is now in congress and is one of the few members of the senate tea party caucus.

Likewise the woman who was the best one in the House race in my district barely lost to a guy who is a bit all over the place. But in the end he has been more fiscally conservative than was expected. So he is better than the democrat who was there for years. But we shall see.

I’d like to know more as to why Arpaio will endorse Perry. especially in light of the heartless comments and not supporting a fence. Does this mean that the Sheriff is not for a fence? Who knows.

We like to think of liberal voters as being the ones purely driven by emotion but conservatives aren’t a whole lot better.

I can disagree without feeling a need to destroy the person I disagree with.

Perry is for strategic fencing. That is fencing in places where it can be effective.

Not a braindead fence that can never be executed but only used as a talking point-thread spammer by the ill informed or of ill will toward a candidate.

Perry repudiated his word choice. He said it was the wrong choice because it called into question the motives of those who oppose the policy and that was wrong.

Perry has a complete plan. Including strategic fencing, drones and other technical assets, military, Texas Rangers, strike forces, even more Border Patrol.

Perry guarantees Border Security within one year of taking the Oval Office under his plan.

Sheriff Joe is not a cartoon character. He’s a real guy with massive experience and no doubt practical.

If he endorses Perry, there’s good reason, certainly in his own mind and heart.

It would only be a mystery to those who have never gotten it about Perry on Border Security, or who simply have chosen him as one above all that they love to hate, insult, demonize, villify and verbally abuse.

Well, you’ve said it all and very well. Amen to that.

By the way, on the Cain thread last night after Cain’s disastrous interview about his plan for illegals, many of the loyal Cain supporters were saying stuff like, ‘Cain says he will close the borders.’

Cain has not advanced a sensible plan for closing the border. He’s joked about electric fences and alligators. It’s not all that funny, Mr. Cain.

I gotta say I really enjoyed that thread ... maybe I’m a mean person but it was fun seeing all those Cain people floundering around trying to defend the indefensible.

Payback’s a biddy.

It means Arpaio knows Rick, likes him and likes his sensible, workable plan to close the border.

Anyone can say ‘I’ll close the border.’

If you admire the Sheriff, you might give him some respect on this decision and learn a little more about Perry instead of assuming that everything the Cain people say is true. It’s not.

Cain misspoke about the fence being a centerpiece of border security, back when he “joked” about electrifying it, because he spoke without knowledge or experience to be speaking on the issue.

Governor Perry has the first hand knowledge and experience to speak on all of these border and related issues. He gets what a fence can and can’t do, and he’s got a comprehensive security plan that effectively includes all of the workable parts.

He has also been a military commander, having commanded the Texas National Guard.

He was a transport pilot in the Air Force, earning the rank of Captain.

He has a nation for a close neighbor, and he is keenly clued in to the national security threat this unsecured border represents.

I know that you know all of this. I like to post it because there are always new folks, or old ones who don’t yet know.

The other candidates don’t offer what he offers. Each has strengths and weaknesses, but when you step back and fairly look at the big picture, it’s Perry all the way.

Cain has been unable to compensate for the weakness of never having held office, and for being primarily a good talker that people like to hear.

His business experience is a good thing, but even that doesn’t cause me to agree with a national sales tax under any guise, nor with his concept of empowerment zones vs. everyone else who doesn’t live in one.

He likes Romney too much...doesn’t square with his Tea Party creds.

And yet you want a one-size-fits-all policy?

The Arizona plan for everyone!

Histrionic much? Where did I say one size fits all? At least AZ and Bama put the big boy pants on. Perry is still picking Hello Kitty undies.
