Air Force Academy Adapts To Pagans, Druids, Witches and Wiccans

Air Force Academy Adapts To Pagans, Druids, Witches and Wiccans Officials say an $80,000 Stonehenge-like worship center underscores a commitment to embrace all religions.

(Pic in URL) Cadets gather for the dedication ceremony of the Air Force Academy's Cadet Chapel Falcon Circle worship center this spring. The center serves cadets whose religions fall under the broad category of “Earth-based.” (Jerilee Bennett, (Colorado Springs) Gazette / May 3, 2011)

By Jenny Deam November 26, 2011 Reporting from Colorado Springs, Colo.— In the still of a cold November evening, a small gathering of pagans, led by two witches, begins preparations for the coming winter solstice. But these are not just any pagans, and this is not just any setting. They are future officers of the United States Air Force practicing their faith in the basement of the Air Force Academy's cadet chapel.

Their ranks are slim. According to the academy's enrollment records, only three of 4,300 cadets identified themselves as pagans, followers of an ancient religion that generally does not worship a single god and considers all things in nature interconnected.

Still, the academy this year dedicated an $80,000 outdoor worship center — a small Stonehenge-like circle of boulders with propane fire pit — high on a hill for the handful of current or future cadets whose religions fall under the broad category of "Earth-based." Those include pagans, Wiccans, druids, witches and followers of Native American faiths.

Witches in the Air Force? Chaplain Maj. Darren Duncan, branch chief of cadet faith communities at the academy, sighs. A punch line waiting to happen, and he's heard all the broom jokes.

No—the relevant question is-—if they don’t believe in God-given Rights—then they should not be allowed in the military which only exists to ensure those God-given Rights of private property and social contracts which come directly from our Constitution and Natural Rights which come from God—not Satan, not allah, not pagan gods-—only the Judeo-Christian God.

It is this Objective Truth which defines our legal system and is in all the oaths of office.....God...and the Air Force Academy has no right to eject God.

Any atheist/pagan/wiccan/homosexual does not have the ability to take an oath on the Bible which is fundamental to our Worldview and Legal System.

Personally, I think they can “think” any stupid thing they want, but the government of the USA has the DUTY to enforce the only worldview which is compatible with private property and freedom-—Natural Law Theory which has the one true God as the designer. Anything else is a fraud and will not uphold the principles in our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Military should HAVE to worship the Judeo/Christian God or not be allowed to serve. Like our Founders when they didn’t allow atheists to sit on juries or be judges, etc.

Russians/Nazis and Middle Eastern and Asian armies have been the most brutal and destructive and inhumane militaries in the history of the world....with the pagan Aztecs/Mayans, etc. Godless militaries are always evil as history has ALWAYS proven.

All this crap started with Pasty Schroder and a witch hunt called Tailhook. So the branches spend time and resources bowing to the new G-d of political correctness at the expense of having latest tools to break things and hurt the bad guys and overall readyness.

They are trying to destroy the warrior spirit, this is all about "culture change", just like they destroyed other instiutions from within...

Spirited: Exactly! Either the supernatural God is sacred or creation itself is sacred. If creation (i.e., Gaia, Goddess Mother Earth, Planet Home) is sacred then ‘owning’ (private property) a part of the ‘goddess’ is blasphemy.

An essential plank of the Progressive/Marxist agenda is abolition of private property. What better way to abolish private property than to encourage pagan nature worship?

Very well said,Sir. —T’anks. I seems to recall a man who wrote of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire back during this nations founding era. I seems to recollect he noted Rome fell most because it had rejected its founding principles. I seem to recall a historian in the Sixties a Brit named Toynbee
who tried to warn America citing much the same stuff from his study of many systems that had failed.-And then Jim Black
in when Nations Die written in the closing years of the 1990’s
Three distinct warning yet few seem to listen.

Here is the bio on this nut job. Born in Portland, Oregon, she moved to Des Moines, Iowa with her family as a child. Graduating from Theodore Roosevelt High School in 1958. she attended the University of Minnesota, majored in history. She graduated with a B.A. in 1961 and later earned a law degree from Harvard Law School in 1964. Moving to Denver, Colorado, she worked for the National Labor Relations Board from 1964 to 1966. She later worked for Planned Parenthood and taught in Denver’s public schools. Schroeder and her husband relocated to Celebration, Florida, a master-planned community built by the Walt Disney Company. Schroeder is a resident of the 8th congressional district, and in the 2010 general election came out in strong support of Democrat Alan Grayson for re-election to Congress, Grayson was not re-elected. Amen, glad she is long gone from here.

I use to recommend people join the military. This is one of a number of reasons I no longer recommend it. This kind of stuff is going to cause over a time the kind of people who made our military great to no longer want to join it and the kind of people who would love nothing more than to use the military’s guns on our own people and especially against Christians, conservatives, etc. to actually want to join it. In light of this, cutting the military budget doesn’t sound like such a bad idea anymore as it would have maybe 25 years ago.

And I thought the Air Force Academy was a hotbed of rightwing Christian fundamentalism officially enforced and their football team would make the Fellowship of Christian Athletes look like namby pamby wet noodle liberals.

At least according to Mikey Weinstein.

BTW who funded that $80,000 Stonehenge, anyway?

Hmmm .. not sure what you mean, but

I meant the tree is hidden in the forest.

Consider the reference to "tree"

These people are so full of crap that they worship themselves.
“Sabrina....there’s corn in our idol!”
“It’s an omen! Does the corn spell anything?”
“No, but there’s something written on the toilet paper.”
“What does it say?”
“It say ‘You people are full of.....’. Oh, the West Point Cadets were here again.”
