COLLEGE STATION, Tex. Rick Perry arrived on the campus of Texas A&M University in the tumultuous fall of 1968, cut his hair short, regulation military style, and donned a uniform. College students across America were rising up against the Vietnam War, but Mr. Perry, a member of the Corps of Cadets here, would not be among them.
There will be no Columbia, no Berkeley here, the university president, Earl Rudder, declared that fall. When a small band of antiwar protesters took to the steps of the Memorial Student Center, a building ...
I dont want to use the word long-haired hippie types, said John Sharp, a Perry classmate and chancellor of the Texas A&M University system, but a person who did not look like they fit into A&M said some kind of Jane Fonda-type stuff, and I remember Perry got up in his face pretty quick over that. He took exception to it, shouted the guy down.
It was an experience that both expanded and narrowed him, taking him to exotic locales while cementing his Texas roots and the traditional, conservative values that have been so central to his political identity. On Air Force missions overseas, he told students at Liberty University this fall, he had his first encounters with oppressed people an experience that sharpened his idea of the United States as a beacon of democracy and helped convince him that Americans cannot isolate ourselves within our borders.
The college student who backed the Vietnam War is, at 61, the hawkish presidential candidate. Mr. Perry has called President Obama irresponsible for ending the Iraq war, urged the overthrow of the Iranian government he would not rule out a military strike and suggested he would deploy troops to Mexico to kill these drug cartels there.

I knew that.
There is no group of Perry supporters who are pinged to go on a Cain thread to trash Cain.
There is no group of Perry supporters who go on a Gingrich thread to disrupt. Or any other candidate.
It is sick behavior and if any of you think that you are helping Cain or whoever your candidate is, you are sadly mistaken.

Very true.....thanks for posting......BUMP
Thank you for telling it like it is......Your statement should be posted evey time that attack group is pinged.
I have been here since July 1998 and I am disgusted by these coordinated repetitive attacks.
In all my years here I can proudly say that I have never gone on a thread about a candidate I didn’t support and viciously attacked the supporters of that candidate.
I wonder if Jim Robinson knows the harm these attackers are doing to our beloved Free Republic?
You are sure right when you say that it is costing Jim $$$$. My quarterly donation is still in my pocket until FR turns back into a place where I want to spend time.
I would like my apology anytime now. Still waiting. Funny you can be quick to blame me for something but as soon as I prove you wrong with evidence you go run away to a corner. That is very cowardly behavior. Not really what I expect from you.

Don’t know what you are talking about. You need to stay out of it as you are not involved. Go pick on someone else. That is your tactic.
Look all. Lonestar has put us in a club. He is mad because we continually spread truths about his Ricardo Perry. Thank you patriots. They are getting desperate and even sent the list to Jim. They will be ramping up the viciousness as Perry will never get any traction and that will piss them off even more. It will get ugly from the Perry fans. They even blame us for the fundraising going down. I don’t know where they get off on that but whatever. I will fight this RINO liberal to the death. I do not want another liberal!!!!!!! Have a great weekend compadres.
Ha ha. Ho ho. Hee hee.
I haven't made a choice yet but I can't support Perry. He's almost as bad as Bush was/is. I bet he even says "nukyaler" like Bush.
If criticism is "trashing" then so be it. It's responses like yours that give me pleasure in pointing out Perry's faults vis-a-vis conservatism.
It seems like you have been doing that since 1998. I verified!!!!
Um, she has as much right to post as you do. In fact you might want to take your own advice there. ;)
Are you telling me lonestar is a woman? I would never have guessed with the derogatory talk and all. Anyway, the reason I said MYOB is because I was talking with Alturo. So to you....GO AWAY
If I had a list for all the lists I’ve been on, I’d have a lot of lists.
A damnable lie, sir. The hypocrisy of you La Raza Rick disciples are of epic proportion.
Perry is in single digits and still dropping. He'll drop below Wrong Paul within a day or two if he hasn't already. And that's right where he needs and deserves to be.

Like I said, you can take your own advice. ;)
“You are sure right when you say that it is costing Jim $$$$. My quarterly donation is still in my pocket until FR turns back into a place where I want to spend time.”
Hmmm, trying to bribe Jim into supporting Perry?
I think he’s above that stunt.
Their candidate, their divine idol, imploded. They can’t handle that he himself was responsible for this occuring. Perhaps had he been as competent, as appealing, and as dynamic as his pimps mislead folks to believe, he’d be in the lead today instead of in the single digits trailing the senile loony toon Ron Paul. He is a dreadful Governor and a flat-out liar and panderer. No one else to blame but himself and his loony devotees.
