The college student who backed the Vietnam War is, at 61, the hawkish presidential candidate. Mr. Perry has called President Obama “irresponsible” for ending the Iraq war, urged the overthrow of the Iranian government — he would not rule out a military strike — and suggested he would deploy troops to Mexico to “kill these drug cartels” there.

I disagree. But that is what is great about America. We can all have our opinions. I think ensuring that America does NOT have Perry for President is a great thing. You keep complaining about how we are here to destroy Perry (which I wish I could take credit). He has done every destructive thing himself. I did not have a thing to do with his 7.7 percent approval rating although I sure as hell wish I had.

I am not ashamed at all. I went back to see what I said and stand by every word. There is no negativity about the SEAL but 100 percent negativity about PERRY. Learn to read and maybe you won’t make yourself look like Perry, an idiot.

I'm conservative and it looks bad to me. I've been here since Feb. of '98 and this is the nastiest I've ever seen on FR and it's mostly coming from the Cain supporters. Would you want children exposed to one supposedly adult accusing another of playing with sex toys? ... a Cain supporter to a Perrywinkle. No, I wouldn't want children reading the dirty comments some of you have written...simply because a person has a different opinion! That is totally uncalled for. As Jim says, the primaries are very heated around here but once the nominee is elected, the peace returns.

Yes, we get heated by some of the utterly stupid comments and I am guilty of fighting back at times. The immaturity of some of you has been unbelievable and all civility has disappeared.
FWIW, this is one of the more sensible responses you made recently. I commented once that I thought a pro who studies group-dynamics should study y'all. I was serious. Individually I'm sure you are nice people but when you get together to attack people who disagree with you, you turn vicious and nasty.
I believe you don't realize the damage that's been done to FR. Believe me, it has done a lot of damage and the people who have left took their donations with them. You're costing JR $$$. Next FReepathon is going to be even worse. Wait and see! The unintended consequence of your organized attacks on people is that FR has become a joke that a lot of people no longer want to be associated with...it certainly is no big deal to be zotted!
