Remember in 2008 when Barack Obama promised to restore the perception of America abroad? On hand at a Walmart near Little Rock, Arkansas today were throngs of Black Friday shoppers hell-bent on keeping that image tarnished, thank you very much.
Walmart put a mini waffle maker on sale for 2 dollars. As WBTV news notes, the mini waffle iron makes only 2 waffles at a time, but the store carries a larger 4-at-a-time version at a much higher price per waffle.
With supply limited and demand for said waffle iron apparently sky-high, the crowd launched headlong into that great American tradition known as the retail riot.
The retail riot isnt exactly a new phenomenonits at least as old as Tickle-Me Elmobut this may be the first riot over a 2 dollar item in history. Its likely a sign of the continued brutal economy that has 1 in 3 Americans either in poverty or near poverty, and has to be the most topical Black Friday story this year along with the woman who co-opted cops favorite toy of 2011, pepper spray, to mow down the competition for an Xbox 360.
Get yourself in the Christmas spirit by checking out the video below.
And she had a tramp stamp, too. Sexy thing.
Well, frankly, how many of us would NOT kill for a $2 Waffle Iron?
Pathetic. My boyfriend was debating whether to hit the stores early for bargains. I talked him out if it. Now I’ll have a documentary of what he avoided.
Exactly what crossed my mind..
I went to Target this afternoon - really quiet there as well.
Last thing she needs is more waffles.....
Waffles are the packing crate version of pancakes.
I saw she scored three of the waffle makers. I guess the waffles are small so run all three in parallel.
How times change. Use to be you could get a waffle iron, toaster, iron or alarm clock just for opening a checking account. Today, you have to join a riot!!!
How repulsive. Especially that trollop with her buttcheecks sticking out.
Argh
I guess that you don’t go in Walmart too often.Sounds like the usual crowd to me.
LOL
I think the butt crack ‘occupied’ the waffle iron shelf.
And imagine this...If that is what happens at Christmas over a $2 waffle iron. What will it look like when the whole society/economy collapses?
I went into H Depot at mid-day. There were no riots for plywood sheething and Xylene. I went to the ‘pro’ checkout and no one was in line ahead of me. Great day! Of course, the aisles were stacked high with a lot of crappy cheap tool sets.
“Get him something he’ll love! 5,000 wrenches, drill bits, nuts, bolts, and a free set of three nail guns and a rechargeable set of 14 tools, with a one cubic yard high-strength paperboard toolbox. All for $29.95. Made by American Wing Wang Corporation. If you buy 2, you get a free air compressor!”
If people are acting this way when there is stuff to buy, think how they will act when there is no food to buy...
plumbers crack?
Some day computers will allow viewers to sample as well the smells of desperation, adrenaline, fear and body odor.
I hope to be room temperature before that happens.
Literally LOL here! Post of the day!
Oh, and I completely believe your assessment. Sad, really.
The product was likely made is the USA, would last your life time, and far better quality, than even the highest priced waffle iron, toaster, iron or alarm now sold in Walmart. There is no way I would buy a Black Friday product. There is nothing I need too get me too go into a store for such madness either.
Sheeple - that follow bah bah bah bah
Like there's not going to be anything on sale from here to Christmas.
I bought most of my gifts over a month ago - got a great deal for product that would sell for $$15-20 each for $1.99 each. I watch for sales during the year and when I'm already in town on errands...and no crowds.
Problem is - these Sheeple also vote...without due diligence as to studying the candidates and the issues. The watch the news and go with the sound bites - EVEN in FR.
