Penn State Scandal: Mother Of Alleged Jerry Sandusky Victim Claims Mistreatment By Son's School

Court records refer to him simply, as Victim One. Outside of a four-and-a-half page section about him in the grand jury indictment of ex-Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky, little else has been discussed about him publicly.

Last week, his mother (whom I will refer to as "Mother One") removed him from Central Mountain High School in Mill Hall, Pa., where he was a senior and an all-star athlete. In an interview conducted last week, she explained why she pulled him from the school.

"They were not helpful," Mother One said of the school's administrators. "They wanted me to go home and forget about it."

Mother One also alleges that since the Sandusky scandal erupted, fellow students and the high school's football coach (who also serves as assistant principal) have all targeted her son with verbal attacks and threats of violence.

She also claims that the school's principal tried to convince her and her son not to report their allegations against Sandusky to the police, and that as recently as this month, refused to treat threats of violence against her son by other students as credible.

Central Mountain High's principal, Karen Probst, and its football coach, Steve Turchetta, did not return phone calls seeking comment about Mother One's complaints.

Was the kid a Second Miler? I had heard Sandusky was a (volunteer?) assistant coach at a high school as well.

If bullying is going on, it probably wouldn’t be difficult to demonstrate. The trouble is that the average uneducated Neanderthal hates homosexuality TOO well. If a man buggers a boy, both are shunned. This might be an instinctual survival mechanism, but it does not fit transcendant Judeo-Christian ideals.

If this was the one McQueary walked in on, this was at Penn State. To do this at a high school would really take some nerve.

If I remember correctly, Victim One was violated at the school and at Sandusky’s house.

I'm certain this alleged bullying case will take on a life of its own. You are correct - - if there was bullying, we will definitely find out. It sounds to me like it will come down to verbal taunts and unkind joking - that sort of thing - rather than anything physical. So now we get into what constitutes "bullying". Do we handcuff and remove a 6-year-old who calls a classmate a name? How about a 7-year-old? A 12-year old? A 14-year old? You see where this is going..

Next stop - - speech codes.

LMAO!!
Yeah, raping a child in the showers of the Penn State Nittany Lions football team doesn't take as much nerve..

Psychologists need to classify it as a form of mental illness. Parents going over the deep end with their kids' involvement in little league and cheerleading. Soccer hooligans in Europe.

It is a "gang mentality" similar to what you see with political party affiliation.

...”Well if this is all true the Principal, the Football Coach and the idiotic School Counsuler should be thrown into prison”...

This makes me wonder where else this is happening in our failed public schools..Have pedophiles learned that this is the best place to find victims? This is our government in action, folks..These government bureaucrats (football coach, principal, counselor), found guilty (you know the system of justice is perverse, too, don't you?), do need to be put away for life..One life is too much to waste on the perverted passions and the evil heart of a pedophile.

Milder versions of the phenomena are seen when people make some team a central part of their lives and do stupid stuff like buy vehicles or paint their homes in colors of their favorite team.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

A dentist in Columbus, Ohio, did his entire office in the Ohio State football colors , his dental chairs, walls, waiting room furniture, and, of course, lots of posters. Sick really. I didn't go back.

...”It’s a sports cult, which is really not much different than a religious cult. Some people simply take an interest in spectator sports, with others it consumes them. I never understood how some people go full-blown retard over some sports team.

Psychologists need to classify it as a form of mental illness. Parents going over the deep end with their kids’ involvement in little league and cheerleading. Soccer hooligans in Europe.

Milder versions of the phenomena are seen when people make some team a central part of their lives and do stupid stuff like buy vehicles or paint their homes in colors of their favorite team.

It’s usually quite harmless, but it can however become dangerous, like when fans riot in the streets. In the case of these Penn State morons, the mental illness manifests with the sports cultists rallying around pedophiles and CRIMINALS”...

You have nailed it..Big money keeps it influential..Just think of the crimes committed by sports figures..Crimes that society is never that upset about. It is hedonism, pure and simple and is supported by all the ignorant people who go vote for leftists, because the left will say they want total personal freedom to do anything, anytime..However, once it gets so bad that dictatorship is demanded, then the personal freedom turns overnight into slavery..The dumb and ignorant who are addicted to sports, as you describe, never understand the big truths..

It’s more of a Paterno cult. People believe the fiction (When PSU loses, it loses the RIGHT way) to be true and they defend the truth against all comers.

Anytime you have a scandal involving a powerless person and powerful people, those who benefit from the powerful in any way whatsoever, will side with them..It is a despicable flaw in human nature. I am with the Mother because I, personally, was sexually molested, as a nine year old, by a person who was a near celebrity in our community..My own Father idolized this man and refused to believe me for a time, even down to inviting the man and his wife back into our home..It was a day when men ruled the household and my Mother’s begging and pleading meant nothing until my Dad’s older sister came down and let my Dad have it, threatening to disown him if he did not sever his ties with this Monster. He did but he never admitted how wrong he was..He is gone now and God himself took care of that pedophile and his lovely singing voice..He dropped dead about three years after the incident with me..He was only around 50 years old. There is no telling how many children he molested in his life..So, I know first hand, how hurtful and frightening it is to be a child and to have important people refuse to believe and protect you in such a situation. God bless this Mother for her attempts to protect her child against the sexual evil which exists out there, it seems, everywhere. I might add, that, in the day when I was molested, it would have done no good to go to the authorities for it was a time when children were not valued as they are today.

Unless you have the keys to the kingdom and the power to rule the subjects, as Sandusky did with the “duh, football.”

Yes because adolescent anal rape leads to speech codes.

I heard an interview with one of the administrators. It made my mouth drop open. She said it was a small town and everybody knew his identity. Then she stumbled and stammered a bunch of bureaucrat speak (”the school had not implemented policies aimed at facilitating the reentry of this student,” but with every 2 words interspersed with “uh, uh, uh”). Nowhere did she say that the treatment given this kid by the other students was wrong, should have been stopped, or should have any consequences to them.

I doubt that this boy had ever been popular - I think he was somewhat from the wrong side of the tracks, he had minor discipline problems and not a lot of friends, and he didn’t have a father at home (which was why he was considered “at risk” and had gotten into that Second Mile program). In other words, exactly the type of kid that pedophiles look for.

What a horrible thing this must have been for you. I'm glad you got through it - thank God for your Dad's sister. What you said here is very accurate:

Anytime you have a scandal involving a powerless person and powerful people, those who benefit from the powerful in any way whatsoever, will side with them..

There will be NO defense for Sandusky...he will cop a plea...one that maybe gives him a chance for parole in 20 years...everyone will go along..including rhe victims, because it spares them a trial..also, once all the legitimate victims are identified, there won’t be any civil suits...a pile of $$ will be tossed in by PSU, and split up...which will also keep the lawyers from their usual 40% cut..Sandusky’s 20 years in jail won’t be pretty..believe me...unless he is kept in isolation..

“It is a “gang mentality” similar to what you see with political party affiliation.”

Excellent point. And thus, the reason why Obama’s poll numbers will never drop below 40%. People look at their political party affiliation the same way folks in Pennsylvania look at Penn State football.

Disturbing, but true.
