In a testy debate exchange last month, Mitt Romney reminded Newt Gingrich that he had backed the individual mandate previously. Now, with Gingrich surging in the polls to frontrunner status, Romney is reminding the electorate about Gingrichs record on health-care.
Dont forget, this health care plan was something we learned about from the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, Romney said on Fox News Channels Hannity in an interview to be aired tonight. Even Newt Gingrich supported the idea of an individual mandate, insisting on personal responsibility.
Now, what we did isnt perfect, Romney added. Some parts of it worked, some didnt, some things I would change. But its not like its a liberal idea. It was a conservative concept.

At one time in my life, I took the draft for granted and thought it was right, too. Most of the country accepted it, but never would, now. Neither, would I. There is a conservative revolution in progress. Our thinking is changing and Mitt is behind the curve. So is Newt, he's just a day ahead of Mitt.
Kind of like the Hindenburg. I heard the food and wine onboard was first rate. Service impeccable. Just one little bitty flaw...
At least the Constitution gives the Congress the authority to raise and support armies.
