Hosted by the Heritage Foundation and the American Enterprise Institute, the theme of tonight's Republican presidential debate is foreign policy and national security.

The debate is being held at Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C.

CNN is carrying the debate live at 8 p.m. EST.

Participating candidates are: businessman Herman Cain, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, former Speaker Newt Gingrich, Reps. Ron Paul (TX) and Michele Bachmann (MN), former Gov. Jon Huntsman, and former Sen. Rick Santorum.

Perry says to privatize the TSA patdown in airports, and get rid of the union.

Says O Admin. has been an absolute failure in supporting intelligence gathering efforts around the world.

Santorum talks about his support of profiling at airports.
Says he voted for privatization.

Disagrees with Huntsman. Uses the word “homeland”. (I hate that word. We don’t have colonies)

No, Gingrich is saying that once you take steps to attack the country, you cross the line between crime and war. McVeigh became an enemy combatant.

But I do see that there is a difference between a serial killer and a mass murderer. Does it matter if one kills 50 people over a period of time before getting caught, and if one kills 50 people in one office bomb attack?
