Sarah Palin's announcement that she wouldn't run for president disappointed her legions of admirers — but it infuriated Roger Ailes. The Fox News chief wasn't angry about the decision itself. Rather, he was livid that Palin made the October 5 announcement on Mark Levin's conservative talk-radio program, robbing Fox News of an exclusive and a possible ratings bonanza. Fox was relegated to getting a follow-up interview with Palin on Greta Van Susteren's 10 p.m. show, after the news of Palin's decision had been drowned out by Steve Jobs's death. Ailes was so mad, he considered pulling her off the air entirely until her $1 million annual contract expires in 2013.
After the announcement, he called Fox's executive vice-president Bill Shine into a meeting. Shine is the network's principal point of contact with Palin. Ailes told him she had made a big mistake. "I paid her for two years to make this announcement on my network," Ailes pointedly told Shine. Sources described the episode on condition of anonymity, given the sensitivity of the relationships.
Palin is said to have made her announcement on Levin's show because she's been upset that Fox News has given a platform to Karl Rove, one of her principal critics. "She isn't happy with Karl," one Palin adviser told me. "From day one, he hasn't been very nice." Levin had become Palin's biggest booster in the conservative commentariat, and Palin is known for rewarding loyalists, and punishing her detractors.

Rog, unless you put it in the contract, or you had a very explicit verbal understanding that she was going to make any campaign announcement, yea or nay, a Fox News Channel scoop, (I mean, explicit enough that a court would say she owed you that), you paid her for two years as a commentator, not for that. You’re boned.
And also, my understanding is that she was there mainly as a prime-time commentator. Apparently she was doing well there. So I’m not sure I understand your problem. If you wanted her to have ratings impact elsewhere on a regular basis, that strikes me as a problem with how you’re using her on the network, not with her. If not...well, you’ve hired other hosts, who are there to put on shows that will get good ratings in their own right and hold on to whatever viewers she may attract. If they can’t do that, that strikes me as a problem with them, and your hiring skills, not with her.

I watch very little on FOX now that Beck is gone. What value is being provided by the network, that I cannot get more efficiently and with less censorship elsewhere on the net?
I get plenty of cheerleaders for people like Mitt, so I don’t need BOR to tell me that the polls showing Cain ahead don’t count.
I get that kind of editorializing every single other place. Now I get it from FOX.
I see no benefit to further watching, since I do not receive anything new there anymore.
I used to. Where is the behind the scene story that no one else has? Where is the investigative journalism? Where is the information I crave and need to make an informed decision?

She pissed off that scum loofah lizard BOR because he kept messing up on the live from Alaska time delays in the broadcast, and she jumped him on it. She dared bitch slap the perverted FNC King, and she was tarred and feathered after that.
Somehow BOR as sleazy as he is has power over that fat slob Ailes. I do not watch Fox at all anymore unless I know SP or HC will be on. I know others that stopped watching them after their left wing tilt. They have been worse since Murdoch got into all that crap with his Newspaper. They are walking on eggs now, and except for Shows on FBN,and Hannity and Greta, they are unwatchable.
The last time I watched Fox was during the GOP Debates.

My point was that this is a story about a reaction that the whole world knew would happen and that took place on October 5th. It’s now November 22.
This isn’t even on Palin’s radar, anymore. She’s doing something else this evening, I’m certain.

I made one post where I commented about Palin’s FOX contract. I referenced her Trademark, because she has one. A Trademark solicits cash upon usage of said trademark. Get over it.
PS. There are so few Palin threads it is impossible to “hang out on every Palin thread”.
I’m surprised their UK subsidies didn’t know about it already. There is something about sleaze, and any business that spies on the general public and victims that I find unacceptable. I put most of the MSM in the category of intentional hype and
misinformation intended to move the opinions of masses towards their advertisers and profit centers. They are all professional pied pipers and we’re made to be the lemmings. They’ll do anything for a few more eyeballs. I trust none.
