President Obama Monday evening blamed Republicans for the failure of the super committee to meet its deadline for a debt plan and warned that he will veto any attempt to eliminate the automatic spending cuts that go into effect with that failure.
In an appearance in the White House briefing room a little more than an hour after the committee officially conceded failure, the president said his answer to those who want to eliminate those cuts “is simple: No. I will veto any effort to get rid of those automatic spending cuts to domestic and defense spending. There will be no easy off-ramps on this one.”
He added, “We need to keep the pressure up to compromise, not the turn off the pressure.”
Pure evil.
So boy zero gloats once again....go back to bed....
I despise him so much it’s hard to know where to begin.
“Never let a crisis go to waste.” Obammie the Commie can’t wait to see the Defense Dept. gutted.
Call his bluff on this. Pass spending bills that spare defense, and force the senate and Obama to kill it.

This committee was supposed to be about finding cuts, not raising revenue. He skillfully inserted revenue into the argument, and now all we’re hearing is how the republicans refused to raise taxes. That’s not what they were sent there to do.
There’s a good reason why the democrats’ mascot is an ass.
That’s fine, Barky. I want the cuts. The best thing for the country is the cuts. Yes, it will hurt in some areas I would rather not see hurt but we need real cuts, not pretend cuts, and this apparently does that.
Democrats think they can blame Republicans but it seems to me like it has to be 50-50 blame and, frankly, I’m happy to have the cuts.
I know ONE cut I’d like to make! Swift and clean!
The military cuts would not get through without the gimmicks. The New Start treaty was not in our best interest. Obama studied under Brzezinski, the cuts (imo) were part of the goal all along.

just remember, “Cuts” == “Reductions in Rate of INCREASES”
The defense department hasn’t been anywhere close to “gutted” since the 30’s.
