The problem is, it won’t be “blue helmets” coming to enforce the law,
but it will be expected that law enforcement at all levels enforce this law, including the cop down the street.
America is bound to abide by treaties it signs,
unless folks think we shouldn’t... ?
Treaties made under the Constitutional authority given to the FedGov cannot exceed the limits placed on government by the Constitution itself.
Unless you think those treaties should exceed that authority...
Anyone siding with a foreign power to deny rights protected by our Constitution has declared his treasonous intent. Those who willingly or in ignorance sign on for such duty will need to be reminded that treason comes with a price.
No treaty which would negate any aspect of the Constitution should be signed, nor ratified, nor enforced.
“...but it will be expected that law enforcement at all levels enforce this law, including the cop down the street...”
Then you already know where he lives.
The words “Choose this day whom you will serve...” come to mind. If Officer Friendly makes his choice against you, his own people, well...he makes his own bed then.
“...America is bound to abide by treaties it signs,
unless folks think we shouldnt... “
Not when it comes to abrogating my rights as an AMERICAN Citizen. I don’t give a rat’s ass what some Bulgarian or Ghanian puke thinks about my right to own a firearm...nor do I care what Banki Moon, or Kofi Anon or whatever other totally replaceable, completely interchangeable Marxist douchebag du jour is running the show over there thinks.
And any one of OUR politicians who signs us on to ANY treaty that infringes on our rights should be immediately arrested, and publically hanged as a traitor.
We have people that swore an oath to uphold, protect, and defend the US Constitution against enemies foreign and domestic.
This is an example of BOTH types of enemies, right here amongst us.
Pretty much sums it up for me.
Only a constitutional amendment can remove a right.
Just as a law which presumes powers not granted to the government by the Constitution is invalid, so is a treaty that exceeds their authority. They can't give away in your stead something of yours they don't own.
Not if they are unconstitutional.
unless folks think we shouldnt... ?
Unlike Mr Jefferson, I lack a decent respect for the opinions of mankind. I'm in favor of dissing international law just to be disrespectful.
