Romney and Cain took some well-deserved shots at the occupiers today too but heres Gingrich ramping it up with a base-pleasing tea-party contrast. Between soundbites like this and the occasional roundhouse at debate moderators, Im starting to believe those Rasmussen numbers.
Just one question: Is a guy who got paid big bucks to push expensive new government health-care programs really going to emerge as the tea-party candidate? If you missed Timothy Carneys report on Gingrichs work for the pharmaceutical lobby while Bush was pushing his Medicare prescription-drug expansion, read it now. Quote:
While the Bush White House and the Republican congressional leadership supported a bill creating a new entitlement for all seniors, Washington conservatives mostly opposed the bill. Gingrich went around Washington at the time plumping for the bill to free-market groups and activists.

Very well stated. I have also noted that Newt is not attacking the other candidates and the American voters like that..Reagan’s Law:)
I would bet you are 99.9% against him
You used to be more direct and abusive in your put downs but now seem somewhat Passive Aggressive. But still, the outcome is no different and quite predictable.
Even more obvious, your failed effort has done nothing what so ever to help your candidate gain popularity or credibility. It seems that you are the last one to realize that fact or understand that outcome.
That ever it is that you think you are doing, it simply is not working for you or your candidate. You might consider a different approach for a while. This is not a personal attack, just an observation.
ROFL!! I guess it’s not surprising that a POS troll like you would come here and accuse me of all of the things you’ve been doing on this site for years. Your entire post is a textbook case of projection.
You accusing me of ‘lashing out’ for posting about Newt’s record is almost as funny as you accusing me of ‘stalking you’ the last time I called you out on your BS.
Have you finally given up on the stammering, corrupt, imbecile from Texas? That’s a shame. I was very much enjoying watching you twist yourself into a pretzel to try and convince everyone that he was actually a viable candidate.
You would lose. But I’m sure you’re used to that.
Newt’s recent rise is not due to ignorant voters suddenly discovering who or what Newt is. It is the result of a large number of Conservatives who have known Newt over the last 30 years and are willing to overlook his troubled past.
There is a much larger threat looming on the horizon that many of us understand, cannot be challenged or defeated by someone without Newt’s equivalent experience and ability.
I suspect that Rasmussen having Newt at over 30%, will start showing in other polls as well. Newt’s past is no secret that the MSM can suddenly use against him. We have heard it all before.
A clear illustration of my original point. Passive aggressive at times, directly nasty and abusive on others.
As expected.
You are projecting again.
Have a great day! And to quote another member of your group;
Cheers!
I am one of those people willing to overlook his past. But I want to add that he was perhaps the lefts most demonized person of all time. That tells me something right there. If the left hates him that much, he can’t be all bad.
Right now I am tentatively supporting him. One thing is certain, he is much better than Obama and with a Republican majority in Congress, I believe his DC experience will work to correct many of the destructive policies we are all now suffering under.
"Bot" has become an all-purpose slur to impugn the character and/or motivations of anyone who expresses anything other than revulsion toward a candidate the accuser does not prefer.
All of our candidates have something to offer; even Romney, who has really Presidential hair. I wish we might weigh their relative merits and shortcomings without the sort of divisiveness that will only serve to encourage our true adversaries.
Thank you.
I think there is little difference between Romney and Gingrich. They They are both insidious and not of good and honest character in my book. Neither are either fthm the man we need in the White House in 2012. Need I say it again? NO MORE CASREER POLITICIANS!
You are welcome :)
Care to name me one politician that has never done anything stupid, or made a mistake? I mean other than Ron Paul
NO MORE CASREER POLITICIANS!
ABSOLUTLY!!! I say its time for an amateur to get in their, someone who has never held any office of any kind!!!
