The LA Slimes should be thankful. Free Republic is the only reason why I would ever visit their site.
At least none of Cain’s accusers has been threatened with violence or had her pet killed, as happened with the accusers of one former President.
Hmm, I say the accusations are lies. That these two petty con-men are merely looking to make a big payday with a book/movie deal. Prove me wrong
After all, based on the LA Times OWN choose standard in reporting on Cain, it-is the accused, not the accusers job to prove the accusations false.

But Cain has displayed all of those flaws, and he just keeps rolling along.
However, what I'm actually seeing those FReepers do is more than transfer their support to Cain. They're automatically granting Herman Cain the benefits that Sarah Palin earned with FReepers over three plus years.
Sarah has been through the media gauntlet and thus earned the deference we give to her judgment; the credibility we put in her answers & analysis; the faith that we have in her to speak to conservative issues; the trust that we put in her to make the right decisions; and the loyalty we have shown her. Sarah earned those rights with FReepers.
Herman Cain has not yet earned those rights. He isn't Sarah Palin. Why are we automatically granting him Sarah's hard-earned status at FR? Cain has no political experience or record to review. Therefore, he must prove himself worthy of our respect, trust, deference, and loyalty.
Please take time to examine Cain's past statements; his current stated policy positions; his ability to respond well to MSM attacks; and his ability to articulate conservative ideals before automatically granting him the benefits of Sarah's hard-earned reputation as a true conservative leader.

The sexual harassment allegations against Herman Cain are weak. The only quasi-credible accuser, Kraushaar, can’t back it up. The bialek woman simply isn’t believable. The insistence on the others to not reveal says they see problems with their own cases.
In terms of the nomination, Cain needs to adapt his 999 plan, fix some broken parts, and get back with it. Foreign policy is simply going to continue dogging him. It’s not something you can shore up on that easily.
The pro-life/choice position he has carved out is absolutely untenable and makes him unbelievable. You don’t go encouraging people to take the law into their own hands with illegal abortions that he rejects.
I have never in my life such an odd position.

Great post, Tex. You've articulated something that Palin supporters are now working their way through. Call it vetting.
I, for one, have not granted Herman Cain the same level of trust and respect that I have for Sarah. I just don't know the man well enough at this point to do that, although he does have my tentative support right now.
Palin had already been vetted more than any candidate in US history as far as I know. After being grilled so badly for three long years, her supporters stuck with her and defended her to the point of being called “Palinistas”, like we didn’t have two brain cells among the total of us all.
Then, after all we Palinistas had endured, and just when we thought our hard earned victory was near...
We have to start all over again. Cain is a conservative. That’s the beginning.
I know this post doesn’t make much sense to most, but to Palinistas, it will.
