When Texas Gov. Rick Perry entered the Republican presidential race in mid-August, he was touted as the candidate conservatives had been waiting for the antidote to the more country club sort of appeal of former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney. No longer.
Three months into his campaign, a new Washington Post-ABC News survey reveals that his numbers have not only fallen considerably among self-identified conservative Republicans, but also lag behind Romney and the majority of the other candidates for the GOP nomination.
Among all Republicans, 42 percent view Perry favorably while 38 percent see him in an unfavorable light. Perrys unfavorable ratings have been ticking rapidly upwards from 11 percent in September and 24 percent in October a sign that the more the party gets to know him, the less they like him.
But the trouble for Perry is even more apparent when you drill down to only those who call themselves conservative Republicans the people who tend to have outsized influence in picking the partys presidential nominee.

That would be something to see! Pelosi might just melt into a puddle on the floor! LOL!
She is a witch.
But welcome another ray of light on the witch.
darn the luck ;o)
That’s exactly what I was thinking! Get ‘er Rick! :)
Well said!
Maniacal lil Son of a Gun.
I posted more than a few times that people should listen to those from Texas as to what they thought of rick perry.Sounds to me the answer is not so much.
Which is why he is the longest serving Gov of Tx /s
So far, Perry is the best thing to happen to Election 2012.
Pure comedy gold.
Woo-hoo! - Great tune selection!
Thanks.
I like it.
Hey, South40, check out the polling questions used in this WaPo-ABC poll:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/polls/postabcpoll_111311.html

4. (IF HARASSED) Did you report the sexual harassment to your employer or not?
5. (IF DID NOT REPORT) Is that because (you didn’t think it was important enough to report), (you didnt think it would do any good), (you were concerned about the consequences of reporting it), or something else?
6. (IF FEMALE AND REPORTED HARASSMENT) Do you think the case was handled fairly or not?
7. (IF FEMALE AND NEVER HARASSED OR DID NOT REPORT IT) If you did report you were sexually harassed at work to your employer, do you think the case would be handled fairly or not?

12. (ASKED OF LEANED REPUBLICANS) Does this situation make you (more) likely to vote for Cain for president, (less likely), or doesnt it make a difference in your vote?
—
That’s not a poll, that’s a hatched job on Herman Cain! The Lame Stream Media is making sure that everyone knows about the false allegations of sexual harassment against Mr. Cain and trying to manipulate their support for him!
Also, note that Mitt Romney is NOT mentioned in these poll results. I believe that he was item 1c, but polled so badly, WaPo-ABC decided to omit him from the results!
What do you make of this poll and the methodology used?
I saw Joe Ely in a small town in Tx.
The crowd sure put him on the spot. They hooted and caterwauled.
He rolled along, and in the end he had them in his pocket.
I was impressed.
Because kay baily hutcheson? was the only opponent right? The lesser of two evils?I dont trust him on illegal immigration period.
The poll is a WaPo biased piece of trash. I doubt it’s going to influence anyone as most who read it will either vote for Obama or Romney regardless. Thanks for posting it though; it’s always good to see what the enemy is up to. :-)
