Potential opponent of Walker: "taking care of people is what government is supposed to do!"
Milwaukee Story ^ | 11.16.11 | Shaun Booth

Mahlon Mitchell quote from interview, "we have this senseless rhetoric that comes forth from the far, far right--the conservative right, that the rich and wealthy are job creators. All of the sudden now we call them job creators, back in the 19th century they called them robber barons. I think what people are saying is that we need to take our government back"

Interesting interview to get a peak in the mind of the other side.

The enormous FAILURE of the S/C/P/M/ dum mindset is that they NEVER take their propaganda to it’s logical conclusion.

When EVERYONE is depending on the GOV to take care of them WHERE does the GOV get the MONEY to take care of them.

The abysmal conditions of Soviet Russia is what you get.

Walker should put together an vid of conditions in Soviet Russia, with a simple line “This is what you get when the GOV takes care of you.”

I've asked this question of a sheeperal before. They simply don't consider it, and will refuse to consider it.

The answers I got, alternately, were "from the rich people",
and "well, the money's OUT THERE".

It’s really difficult to argue with STUPID.

Can you believe that “well, the money is OUT THERE”
OMG

Yeah, that cracked me up as well.
I answered that one with “yeah, and it belongs to the people who earned it”. No reply, of course.

That is a true statement with regards to state government. Under our federal system, the states are responsible for health, welfare and morals.

Some people’s lives work and some don’t. Materialist will tell you that it’s all about money. All we have to do is take money from those whose lives work and give it to those whose lives don’t work and then everything will be okay. If your life doesn’t work it’s not because you don’t have enough money.

I don’t need or want the brainless morons who become politicians to ‘take care’ of me. These people make me sick. They think they are the ‘cream of the crop’, but are generally idiots with a big ego. They ‘need’ the public, because their whole lives are wrapped up in their delusional belief that everyone ‘needs’ them.

For the record, I don’t call anyone a moron, or think that way about others, but I am extremely tired of politicians thinking they are somehow ‘special’. When they invent something, or start a successful business, or spend their time taking care of special education children etc. I will have more respect for them. My generally feeling is that most people randomly chosen off the street could do what they do, and likely much better.

” All of the sudden now the rich and wealthy are job creators , back in the 19th century they called them robber barons”

Examples of 19th/20th century robber barons:

1) John D Rockefeller (oil)
2) Andrew Carnegie (steel)
3) Henry Flager (railroads)
4) Cornelius Vanderbilt (water transport, railroads)
5) Leland Stanford (railroads)
6) John Jacob Astor (real estate, fur)

Nope, these guys didn’t create any jobs and donate anything OUT OF THEIR OWN POCKETS like libraries or hospitals. They were just plain greedy.

back in the 19th century...

Well, back in the 19th century, we used to call Democrats the Ku Klux Klan.

“Aw geez - whatever happened to “Ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country”.— John Kennedy.

Seems like an inconvenient quote for the new socialist left now.”

Hard to believe we’ve come to this point in 50 years, isn’t it?

“well, the money’s OUT THERE”.

The answer I hear is “from the corporations”. Then, I ask where the medical drugs will come from, where will the food come from, how will the food be transported, where will electricity come from, how will it be distributed? Can anyone locally make shoes? Can they make bike tires? Why would any doctor work for free? Can you make your own antibiotics? If anyone can or if you can, at what point does the enterprise become a corporation, given the present tax structure? Etc.

Deer-in-the-headlight in response, then a silence, then more corporation bashing.

They are not interested in logic or in solutions. They are into destruction. They do not think beyond the moment and they *trust* that *government* will *provide*. They are not interested in parsing the words that I highlighted.

“taking care of people is what government is supposed to do”

If the voters of WI are dumb enough to believe that line of crap, then they deserve all the bad government they get.

I believe, however, that they are wising up.

“..All of the sudden now we call them job creators, back in the 19th century they called them robber barons....”

No, not “they”...LIBERAL MARXIST history re-writers call and called them “Robber Barons” after we allowed these jerkoffs to rewrite history.

Back in the 19th century, they were considered intrepid entrepenuer industrialists who provided jobs that enabled people to pay their bills, put food on their tables, keep a roof over their heads, and ultimately create and move up into the Middle Class which has been the power base in this country for a long time.

Mahlon Mitchell...just another stupid, lying, socialist pr*ck trying to fool stupid, gullible liberals.

Why in the world are 3 dozen Freepers just kicking the sh!t around and not fisking this guy to the limit? Read the damn story -- "Mahlon" (paging Larry Sinclair) wants to be appointed the Democrat candidate and is not interested in little 'd' democracy, namely, a primary:

"I don't think we need a primary right now to muddy the waters. I think that would lead to some confusion and I think that would lead to unnecessary money being spent."

Mitchell would beat this guy like a gong.
