Illinois Sen. Mark Kirk hasn't endorsed a GOP candidate for president, but it's looking more and more like he's on Mitt Romney's team.
Kirk said Monday the field is getting down to "Romney and the anti-Romney," listing all of the GOP darlings -- Palin, Bachman, Trump et al -- that have fallen by the wayside.
"The underlying story is the rise and rise of Mitt Romney," Kirk said.
In regards to the Herman Cain sexual harassment controversy, Kirk said Cain "needs to respond and respond completely."
"I do think his story is largely ending," Kirk said. "The critical thing is not what everybody thinks, but what caucus-goers in Iowa think and primary goers in New Hampshire think. My read right now it's looking very good for Romney."

Milt and the latest candidate for Ms. Romney IV.
I did my part in that election, by voting for the Libertarian candidate, he at least was pro life, unlike Kirk. You, I and others sounded the warning about Kirk and too many people here had the philosophy of "vote for the guy with the "R" behind his name", he's better than the democrat.
I and others predicted at that time that those same people would be hollering "vote for Romney, he's better than Obama". I said it then and will say it now. No, he isn't!
By the way, I'm not Libertarian, that was the first time I ever voted that way, there were just no other viable options.
I'm still wondering which Kirk will do first, come out of the queer closet or switch parties.
I don’t see Kirk in that picture. He looks more like what would come out of one of those animal’s butts.
Specter was in the Senate for 30 years, Kirk has been there 1 year. Give Kirk 30 years in the Senate and I can gurantee you he'll do more damage that Specter (he already did an enormous amount of damage during his decade-long career in the U.S. House)
As bad as Specter was, at least he was a reliable conservative on 1 or 2 issues -- Specter had an A rating from the NRA, for example. Kirk is a reliable conservative on NOTHING. In fact, Kirk is so liberal on guns that Jim & Sarah Brady of the "handgun control" crowd actually endorsed him over a Chicago machine Democrat for U.S. Senate!
Now do you see him?
Win.
He’s sure looking aqueous these days. I always knew the man had no substance.
I did say for now. Hopefully Kirk will NOT be in the Senate for 30 years.
