So you want to teach about challenges and choices by showing them the dreggs of society...better to take them to jails and prisons, where many of those occupiers spent time; not learning lessons.
My guess is she would have never dreamed of taking a class to a Tea Party rally.

It’s a private school and it would appear that no tax dollars were spent on the field trip and the parents had to give permssion for their kids to attend.
Therefore, there should be not objection at all to this field trip, just as their should be no objection if the kids went on a field trip to observe a tea party rally or a pro life action.

Mr./Ms. Editor...I believe the correct way to write this is to refer to it as the democratic process -- using a little "d" as the beginning of the word.
Using a large "D" would refer to the Democrat party. While most of the OWS scum are probably Democrats, they do not own the political process known as democracy.

My 10th grade History and Civics teacher was an extremely conservative guy.
If OWS had existed back then he likely would have taken us down to see it so then he could deliver the lecture that “this is what your future holds if you continue to let these liberal leftist morons run the country”.

The teacher took her students to a private bloggers convention at a hotel which occupiers had invaded in order deliberately and criminally to interfere with other people’s property rights and free speech rights.
