Herman Cain said that he believes a majority of American Muslims share extremist views in an interview published on Monday.

In an interview that included a few eyebrow-raising comments, Cain's exchange about American Muslims may get the most attention.

"I have had one very well-known Muslim voice say to me directly that a majority of Muslims share the extremist views," Cain said in an interview with GQ.

If I ever heard “moderate” Muslims standing up against the extremists I might believe otherwise, but all I hear are crickets.

Well I have to agree with Cain here and good for him for saying so. One slight little nit pick, IMHO most are not extreme however the “extreme” minority can move the “moderate” majority to extreme without to much effort. I personally do not think of Islam as a religion per say since the goal of the religion is to institute Islamic government. Curious how that is different then say Marxism.

“Moderate” Muslims aren’t really Muslims.

The only tolerable Middle Easterners/Pakis/etc are those that disavow Islam.

Find me one devout, “moderate” American Muslim.

Wasn’t there a story that on 9/11, there were Muslims in this country celebrating when the planes hit the Twin Towers and the Pentagon? I do remember seeing them celebrating in Israel, passing out candy and that woman with the glasses doing the Xena Warrior Princess cry but I thought I had read somewhere that there were some who celebrated here too.

I could be wrong.

Herman - please don’t say this time you are misconstrued.

They are ALL extremists, they hate us and they wish to do us harm.

That’s the truth about Islam.

Another correct, but politically incorrect statement from Cain.

There are no “moderate” muslims... only patient ones.

There were no “moderate” Nazis either.

I don't think members of the NAZI party had much of a choice in joining, especially once Hitler had strict control. Pope Benedict was a NAZI, and I consider him a very holy man.

Those who believed in Hitler and supported him blindly were not moderate. Those who joined rather than disappear did so out of fear.

Let me guess...

Muslims are going to come forth claiming Cain religiously harassed them.

True islam is not very compatible with true democracy OR with a modern economy having a modern banking system. These things we take for granted in america are not very much respected by highly religious muslims.

But there is a huge difference between someone born of muslim parents and a true believer.

I could also make the generalization that anyone NOT born to native born anglo american citizens of the midwest is most likely a gun grabber that disrespects the second amendment. But that doesn’t mean I won’t associate with them or deem them all unfit for public office or cabinet positions.

He’s going to get savaged in the media for this by the left-wing media. Muslims are the most protected group in America now. At least one candidate speaks the truth on Islam.

You know what? I’m starting to think Cain is too good for the GOP.

The extremists blow up buildings & people - the moderates stand, cheer & clap. Go get'um Herman.

Better way to make the same point:

I’m concerned about the inaction of 99% of Muslims and their failure to forcefully condemn the terrorist acts of Muslims!

If there were even a small minority of Muslims who were “moderate”, there would be an outcry or some sort of public disapproval of Islamic Terror.
The silence from that quarter communicates approval of the terrorist acts, NOT “moderation”.

What’s wrong with telling the truth? Oh, that’s right, the media doesn’t like the truth.

“moderate” muslims always say they disagree with al Qaeda but “understand” their anger due to American aggression in the middle east and the Israeli “occupation”.

Herman is correct...I find it intresting the media won’t believe that Herman did not sexually harrass a woman but you can bet they will be all over this story...
One day i may be sitting in heaven while some leftist is getting his head lopped off by a sharia wielding headsmens blade and I will be shouting...can you hear Herman NOW?
