I don't think members of the NAZI party had much of a choice in joining, especially once Hitler had strict control. Pope Benedict was a NAZI, and I consider him a very holy man.
Those who believed in Hitler and supported him blindly were not moderate. Those who joined rather than disappear did so out of fear.
And so too with islam. We have already heard stories from those who defect (if they live to tell about it)
Radical, none the less.
