The ones chanting about it being “their street” and “Their park” apparently are clueless about who pays for those street and parks. Those were beautiful parks and it makes me sick to see the destruction.

My son is a Sgt. with the Police Bureau, and I stayed up until 4 AM because I was worried about the safety of the Police, especially after the mounted patrol officer was injured. Watching live this morning/afternoon at http://www.katu.com/news/live

Those people’s rights end where mine begin. They need to get the hell out of town, IMO.

They can’t be too badly off since most have fancy cell phones doing texting etc. I can’t afford one of those!

I don't get it. Why can't the city just close the parks from, say, midnight to 6am. And say no camping allowed.

It is their own fault for letting this happen. Same is true for all the cities having to deal with this ridiculous "protest." No one has given one good reason they are protesting. It is just a joke.

The PPB showed remarkable restraint and coolness under an extremely tense situation. God bless them all.

BTW, PPB spokesman Sgt. Pete Simpson is one big dude! Just saw him a few minutes ago on KOIN.

The police seemed very restrained, so I hope it ends well. The occupods need to go home, NOW. No one is impressed.
