Hey, there!

Well, good comes out. My dad was a career Naval officer (USNA 1938, many times in Norfolk), and spent time at the CIA, also. I was too, for 5 years. Now my son is a MC officer, just back from Afghanistan.

BZ to your husband and you!

That is the plan Newt endorsed. I have read and re-read it and I agree with it. IF Bush could have got this bill passed..I don’t think we would be in as big a mess as we are today.
Have to go...busy day tomorrow and busy day today (in between my fan mail) LOL LOL The Cainiacs just adore me.

Don’t forget his knowledge of the ins-and-outs of Congress.

You are certainly on a one man mission...same things on every thread ...reminds me of the media who spends all their time knocking Republican candidates...it just never stops.

Frankly, posting Mr. Snowe’s “Myths” dissuades me from taking you seriously enough to bother with a reply. It is a dishonest set of arguments at best. In practice, Bush’s was a cynical amnesty plan, no matter how he tried to spin it.

We need a common sense guy in the oval office

At another time then the one this nation is in now some might agree...but not with the very serious and perilous problems at hand now...and with the ship sinking...we need an experienced captain...

I doubt many would care what an individuals personal life or his misteps in the past might have been if they were drowning in a storm of violent waves....and they saw someone experienced at getting people out of the water onto dry land with an extended hand to do just that.

I put aside my personal preferances...and instead focused on who really can turn things around, with no time to spare..... Newt's got the whole package to get us out of the water...and he may only be able to stop the ship from sinking....which is enough for me as it will take four years to nip this in the bud. I can live with Newt for four years despite any baggage or his personal life...which BTW all his wives have moved forward and support his run.

Good grief you have to go back 17 to 20 years to quote Newt? ....Heck I supported things then I would never do now....people change...and especially since 2008 when all heck broke loose. So I have no problem with people changing their stance once new information dispels the old...or even if it’s a toss up. You go with what you know at the time.

Course we know you have another candidate in mind and so natural you would attempt to discredit Newt.

Yes..and more importantly he knows how to bring them along to unite behind him...he has proven so. Heck he even kept clintons toes close to the fire.

you Have a photo of Cain the rino and his wife the democrat who probably is in lockstep with Pelosi, Hillary and Moochelle...that is a fact.

Uh, how can a thing be probable yet a fact at the same time?

Or you can get raw with these strings. Either way, the violin is sweet yet lethal.

Do it!

we need an experienced captain...

Yes, but not one with a course set over a cliff. Moreover, experience comes from many fields, but Newt has NO experience as an executive AND shows evidence of poor management skills with his campaign.

You're not doing so well.

I doubt many would care what an individuals personal life or his misteps in the past might have been if they were drowning in a storm of violent waves....

Oh yeah, that "conservative should be so desperate any RINO will do" followed by "He can win!!!"

What a load, I can't tell you how sick I am of such garbage. It's how they got California to settle for Arnold, and look what happened. Oh, but he was a "fiscal conservative" too, just before he sank the State in another $100 billion in debt while paying off his friends with crooked favors.

I put aside my personal preferances...and instead focused on who really can turn things around, with no time to spare...

Then Newt isn't it, all your fuzzy blandishments accounting for nothing. When the government "shut-down" confrontation with Clinton came, Newt folded like a cheap suit and therewith virtually handed Clinton a second term. That's all we need to know.

Well it’s obvious you would choose another..I am comfortable choosing someone I believe our nation needs...who can and has moved Congress...and management skills, though not perfect, none are, more than adequate for the job.

I cannot see Cain as Pres...he has to far to go before he can even be on first base, and would not have endured this latest challenge had not other more expereinced people stepped in to direct him..and Newt was one of them.

I’ll not even consider Romney...Backmans been basically booted...and I liked her...Perry just won’t be able to handle the job in many respects and I don’t believe he even wants it...the rest won’t make it to be considered. So that leaves Newt..and I will be voting for him...

You are talking like a paid shill, happy talk, no evidence. There is no record of Newt Gingrich as having any significant executive experience. None. You cited the importance of experience, and then offer, with absolutely no basis of support, offering only this hand-wave.

OTOH, we have LOTS of history with Newt backstabbing, cheating, and choking. If those are the "management skills" you are citing you can forget it.

I cannot see Cain as Pres...

Well you'd better close your eyes and get started "seeing." Although Cain is a far cry from perfect at least his policies do not include a complete deal-breaker while Newt has several.

"Really want to play this game?"

This is the game YOU PLAY in every Newt thread.

How about when Cain (a former fed member) was asked who his favorite Feb Chairman was and he answered "Allen Greenspan". Allen Greenspan? Mr Dot.com and housing Bubble himself? Probably the worst fed chairman ever! I don't think Cain could name 3 fed chairmen if you gave him all day to think about it. FYI, Vocker was the correct answer for any conservative.

Gingrich was Speaker of the House for four years (1994-98),....an executive job

Looks like he's already ahead of the curve............

Currently Newt has pledged to issue a series of.. "Executive" Orders.. to create jobs and help undo the damage of the Obama administration on the first day of his administration....and the plans for carrying these out:

1. Eliminate the thirty-nine White House "Czar" positions created during the current administration

2. "Mexico City Policy" of Respect for Life.

3. Restore conscience clause protections for Healthcare Workers.

4. Respect Each Sovereign Nation’s Choice of its Capital.

To name a few....

the inner workings of Pakistan are easy to understand -- it is a society that has 5 ethnic groups - three Indic-speaking: Punjabi-speaking Punjabis, Sindhi-speaking Sindhis and urdu-speaking Muhajirs, three Iranic-speaking groups: Baluchis and Pashtuns/Pathans as well as smaller linguistic groups (the dravidian speaking Brahuis and various Dari languages in the NWFP)
it is a country that is still feudal -- it never made laws to distribute land from feudal landlords who still rule and are frequently the politicans

it is a country that is ruled behind the scenes by the Army and the ISI and has politicans posturing

All three use islam to keep the masses attention diverted elsewhere

it is the lead trainer and promoter of terrorist jihadis

it gets a whole bunch of money and weapons from the US that is promptly gives to terrorists for use against the US and India.
