At least foreign policy won't go totally into the trash heap... AEI/Heritage/CNN debate on November 22 will be on this topic.
Oh. And so as not to disappoint. I agree with Thiessen's assessment of Cain's performance.
Better keep studying Herman... Next time folks might actually be watching...
CBS was HORRIBLE. High School kids would have done better.
I enjoyed seeing Scott's smug grin disappear as Newt slapped him down.
Once again SEE-BS confirms what a joke of a network it is.
Why would anyone want to watch CBS denigrate GOP candidates for office when there are some very good football games to watch?
There was a debate tonight?
We need to stop letting the left run our debates!!
He was the worst of the bad bunch we've had so far. Before tonight I would have said it was CNN's John King, the guy who would start grunting during the last 30 seconds of a candidate's 60 second answer. As (deliberately) distracting as that tactic was, at least I could still hear what the candidate was saying. Tonight's Pelley would start talking over the candidates at the 30 second mark, telling them their time was up, or they weren't answering the question. He was talking louder than the candidates, so I missed a lot of what the candidates were saying.
I'm hoping the Nov 22nd debate will be more professionally conducted with The Heritage Foundation as a co-sponsor.
WHY do you think they put it here. They KNEW no one would watch it and thus the republican messages did not get out.
The final 30 minutes being shifted to the internet while lacking the necessary capacity is unacceptable for a major network. Since the last 30 minutes were on-line, why wasn't Perry allowed to finish his answer? They could trim the feed for time when broadcast the 90 minute debate to the West Coast by trimming dead air at ad breaks/returns.
Poorly run debate with a bad moderator. I was with Football and tuned in late only to see it get cut off and Thus I went back to Football. The read the web feed had problems.
Halfway through I was visualizing a poster with Dan Rathers face and “Miss me yet?” at the bottom...
Not quite, but Scott Pelley proved that we haven’t seen the worst SeeBS has to offer when The Perky One got booted out of Uncle Walters chair.
Answers to debate questions are usually deductive, meaning that they build from general information to a specific conclusion. Pelley and the left-wing moderators know to interrupt the Republicans right at the very moment before the conclusion. Slimy, but I suspect that it was thoroughly planned by committees at CBS.
Pelley did not disguise his contempt for the candidates, and his imperiousness and arrogance were on display for all to see.
Since this is an important topic for debate, I'll go to the website and watch the final third.
I bet when there’s a debate between Obamalamadingdong and the Republican nominee they’ll be asking the Republican the hard questions and softballing Zero.
“telling him that killing terrorist suspects is not the rule of law.’
When I was watching I couldn’t believe it, even for C-BS. The moderator was debatting with the candidates.
I’m sure the gals on The View would do much better /sarcasm
It’s pathetic. At times, the mods are so argumentative, it seems they’re also competing for the nomination.
The big loser is still the American voter. CBS is getting what it wants.
Pelly sucks, why did Garrett hardly do anything? Newt/Cain/Perry seemed the only real hopes.
How do we get rid of Paul/Huntsman/Bachmann/Santorum??????
