Tho some of the staff may not warrant prosecution, think about it, as a parent, when kids commit the “sin of omission” is just as bad as lying or covering up...maybe worse. This matter could and should have been resolved over a decade ago. Had that happened, lives would have been spared, and the program would likely be stronger than ever. For years and years, this trust was betrayed. My guess is there are countless direct and indirect victims...

For example, it would not surprise me if there are not players on team who encountered Sandusky in his off-duty activities with young boys who were afraid to come forward and have been tortured with the secret for years.

So some reporting finally occured some action finally taken, but it seems it was the bare minimum and lives were damaged because of it.

I just can’t defend this because as a parent, we are constantly trusting the most precious thing in our lives—our children—to the care of others thru sports, school, church, etc.

If that trust is betrayed, it is beyond serious—not only for that family, or the institution, but for the entire society. That is why I am so incensed.
