Drawing on his wealth of knowledge and years of experience in Congress, Gingrich adeptly understands the most trying issues of our time. His ability to answer complex questions and innovative solutions is emboldening his candidacy. After Rick Perrys incapacitating gaffe and Herman Cains demoralizing public relations blunders Gingrich has emerged, for now, as the anti-Romney candidate.

Lol, is that a lame attempt at a joke?
I believe you said, and I am paraphrasing, the more CO2 the better? Correct? Well the more CO2 is not the better. At some point CO2 will induce a green house effect that will overwhelm "the system". Now we are no where near that point but "the more CO2 the better" is just a really stupid thing to say. But saying really stupid things seems to be your strong point so I look forwards to more laughs from you.
The idolatry of Rome is a deterrant, but many of them actually do find Christ eventually, but rarely do they become productive as Christians due to the culture that surrounds them.
As to Newt, his actions speak volumes, and I’ve yet to perceive a change in what his actions say. Time will tell.
So far he hasn’t disavowed the damage that he has done in any way. If he really wants to get elected he needs to do that openly and publicly soon.
Amen brother, but a lots of people, most in fact, got conned by the scam. Newt included. The only politician of note that I remember that did not get fooled was Inhof (sp?) seems to me everyone else did. And there are still at lot of people buying into AWG, I am hoping this winter will convince a lot of them that AWG is a scam.
Remenber that the primaries and the general are two separate operations for the propaganda mediots.
They first want to foist a weak, easily beatable candidate on us in the primaries. Mitt and Newt fill that bill perfectly.
Then in the general, they turn on the heat against the very candidate that they had given the pass in the primaries.

Thank you! That’s sort of what I was getting at, but you did it much better! It worries me that they give Romney and Newt a pass so far. Time will tell but for now, they hate Cain...so he has my vote!
Baggage is what we all have, but he has a scary wife and has a broken tooth is his mental gearbox; He regularly jolts one with some off the wall, out of nowhere, statement. So I don't know where he stands. I really want to like the guy and I respect his intellect so much but I just can't get past his jolting incongruities.

No, the “greenhouse effect” has itself been proven to be nonsense. The only gas that has any effect on temps on Earth is water vapor, and that effect is one of moderating the influence of solar heating.
The net effect of all atmospheric gasses is to reduce temps, not to increase them. They reflect solar heat away, and solar heat is the only significant source anywhere but in dense urban areas where burning of fuel provides a small amount. They do keep the nights warmer during certain weather patterns, but even then they are still radiating heat outward in all directions that was absorbed during daylight; that is the function of any heatsink.

Yes! - But the reason is not because they believe the scam; its because they are vested in “carbon offsets” and stand to get very wealthy. This has been from the start the only reason GOP congressmen bought into AGW.
Another funny? 400 million years ago the Earth was in a deep freeze, see Snow Ball earth, we recovered from that near life ending event due to .................... CO2!
You really should quit while I am only way ahead. :)
I’m so tired of RINOs telling me what things will never work when it is just their commie bleeding hearts that are dead set against it. Though I’m sure both Perry and Newty would love listening to all your pandering ideas, people in this country are just too heartless to go along with coddling lawbreakers.
You should have a heart for the taxpayers and citizens of this country for once. We are tired of paying for the criminals of the world and their families. We have enough to deal with already.
It wasn’t 400 million years, and the Earth was partially englatiated after ‘Noah’s’ flood due to the very high temperature of the ocean from the hot water that belched upward when the crust of the earth was ruptured.
Hot oceans always produce high precipitation (think El Nino) which deposits snow and ice on the land mass of the north temperate zone. In the south, the zone is mostly ocean, but Antarctica has constantly increased in ice in all weather patterns.
Re AWG, the jury is still out on AWG, what we do know is that it is not happening right now. The AWG crowd is arguing that a cool cycle is masking an underlying warming trend. I am not buying that but they might be right. There is no definitive science one way or the other. And there will not be any definitive science for many many years as the Earth climate systems is just to complex for us humans to understand just yet.
Well if it is any consolation to you I believe events are going to overtake politics fairly soon. Just too many fans and too many “you know whats” going on now for things to not get really bad. I now I am preparing, hope you are too.
Alrighty then! Well done, friend. Enjoy your new found tools.
I’ll forgive your utter ignorance of the Catholic faith.
WRT AGW, there is no jury to be out.
There are the scammers at Hadley, who proved themselves to be frauds to the core, and there are the scientists that have unequivocally stated that there is no AGW because there is no engine to make it work.
The CO2 farce fell flat when the real observations showed that if it has any effect at all, which is unlikely, since it is less than 0.3% of the atmosphere, it would be a slight cooling, since it is dense, and reflective like water.
The facts have been there from the start, but since they were politically inconvenient they were ignored. The firing of Peter Giddings for schooling the public on the mechanics of meteorology should have opened lots of eyes, but unfortunately the majority just don’t give a damn until something starts to noticeably gouge them.
The politics of research grants has cancelled science, probably forever. Political power now dictates what will be “science,” and monetary gain dictates political power. That is a nasty circle that isn’t going to turn itself into butter anytime soon.

Already have!
Wednesday I went to the local coin shop to buy some “junk” silver. The place normally has had maybe two or three customers at a time, but wednesday it was swamped with both buyers and sellers, and they had to keep the doors locked, and just let people in or out one at a time. The parking lot was an insane place, with people even making trades out of their cars.
I’m 67 years old, and I’ve never seen anything like it before. (and this is “nuttsville” SF Bay Area)
I have decided that I’m going to vote for Newt in the primary. I never thought I would do so because of his baggage. I am a social/morale conservative and that is my primary concern. However, no consistent person of that stripe (Santorum or Bachmann) can garner enough of the vote to win. So, my next area of importance is national security. When I look at all the those running in the GOP field, my gut tells me that only Newt has the gravitas to be CinC. He won’t be perfect, and I’m sure he will do things to tick me off, but as best I can analyze the group, he is the best choice. So, I am currently planning on voting for Newt.
And Yes, I do believe he can win in a general election. However, I WILL not get mad at others on this forum who hold differing views. We are way too polarized here. So, I won’t be part of that. I hope others join me...not vote like me, but join me in being civil to the rest of the forum. I know this forum currently favors Cain....I like him too, but I think ultimately that Newt would be a better CinC.
Since I cannot get a morale/social conservative, I will go with the most adult in the pack other than Romney (who I won’t vote for even in a general election).
Examples??
