Sam Stellatella, a three-position player in the 1950s for Penn State, is trying to raise funds for Jerry Sandusky's legal defense.

Stellatella has donated money and has urged other former players to do the same.

"I told him he's going to need a million dollars to defend himself," the 73-year-old Stellatella told the Associated Press. "He called me back and said, `What am I going to do with this money?' I said, `Use it for your lawyer because you're going to need it.'"

Is that a Grateful Dead bear? I have seen it before and I was wondering if it has a special meaning?

If you engaged in oral sex, you were getting a Lewinsky. So will a “Sandusky” now be the euphemysm for child molestation?

People are worrying about a coach’s legacy over the welfare of minor children who were sexually assaulted because the people who had an opportunity to do something about it failed miserably.

People still have their priorities and they are not changing. Stop the nonsense. The game starts in two hours. RAH RAH Go PSU.

...you can bet your boots Spanier knew what Sandusky was up to.

I'm thinkin' that a bunch of Penn police also knew. And if it finally comes out that Sandusky ran a perp ring for wealthy 'donors', well...

Wow - that is very hard to believe. He’s not afraid? I can’t help but think that someone will make sure justice is served if this guy is venturing into public places.

Some have conjectured that an old guy like Paterno was a relic of the “old morals” and “moral judgements” whereby homosexualty was considered a no-no. ... JoePa of The Old Days also was not able to perceive the evil designs of a predator like Sandusky——

TOTAL HORSE MANURE

Its Possible PATERNO KNOWS some of the powers that be....
Which made him shut the hell up...

Joe knows more than he is telling.. he should be debriefed..
Something made him clam up and not pursue this story....

He may know “the powers” that “be”..

Paterno reported the hearsay evidence to Athletic Director Curley and Finance Director Schultz (who was also the supervisor of the University Police). After that Paterno was no longer invited to meetings. It was Schultz who decided it not be reported to the police. McQuery, who actually witnessed the activity, also did nothing to stop it nor did he go to the police. He was in on the meetings with Curley, Schultz, and possibly Spanier.

Should JoePa have done more? Absolutely. But he did report it to the University Police supervisor.

There’s several question I have been asking and no one in the media is asking: Who granted Sandusky emeritus status after he retired in 1998? Did Spanier and the Trustees have to approve it? That gave him the keys to the kingdom (ie locker room).

A follow up: Sandusky got emeritus status as a result of negotiations in his retirement in 1998. So, who was involved in those negotiations, and who approved the package from the University side. The approver(s) are the enablers, because they know why he was retiring.

Perhaps there is method in this madness of funneling money to defend a filthy pedophile. Perhaps there are wealthy ‘donors’ who want to be appraised of the goings on in order to know if they are about to be exposed too. Recall if you will the European ring of child pornograhy addicts among the extremely wealthy Eurotrash. Are we about to see a board turned over and filthy things scurry in all directions? Looks like it when these rich donors funnel money to try and squelch and protect a known pedophile.

I can see a 'Sandusky rule' being implemented in the future. School teachers should never be alone with any child - at any time. It maybe tough to enforce but it will keep the rapes and allegations down quite a bit.

Beyond all the obvious legal/criminal proceedings surrounding this mutant Sandusky, I think a case like this ought to move people in positions of authority to start asking a lot of questions about the legal and practical ramifications of having a "university police" department in the first place.

A branch of law enforcement with these close ties to a university system is a disaster waiting to happen.

Why? ... Because a high profile scapegoat is preferred over a salacious enabler of perversion like the administration is apparently rife with.

Paterno kept him on as Defensive Coordinater AFTER his retirement. Paterno was asked how he felt about losing Sandusky. Paterno said it was 'like a son walking out of his house'.

Dear God in heaven. What is the matter with people? 75 players to stand with Penn? If they were standing with the victims I would be impressed.

Here is my list:

Even worse, Madden believes that Paterno and the rest of the administration knew about Sandusky's alleged affinity for showering with children for years.

"My opinion is when Sandusky quit, everybody knew -- not just at Penn State," Madden said of Sandusky's alleged molestation of a child in 1998. "I think it was a very poorly kept secret about college football in general, and that is why he never coached in college football again and retired at the relatively young age of 55. [That's] young for a coach, certainly."

He isn't the only one to think that it was widely known information. Former Oklahoma coach Barry Switzer told reporters on Thursday that the whole community might have known about Sandusky's past.

"Having been in this profession a long time and knowing how close coaching staffs are, I knew that this was a secret that was kept secret," Switzer told The Oklahoman. "Everyone on that staff had to have known, the ones that had been around a long time."

"You think that a 13-year assistant ... hasn't told someone else?" he said. "His wife? His father? People knew. The community knew."

......several questions demand answers: (1) Who granted Sandusky emeritus status after he retired in 1998? (2) Did Spanier and the Trustees approve his tenure? (3) Sandusky's tenure gave him the keys to the locker room...and free rein to commit atrocities on young young boys in the PS showers........

It's a mistake not to connect ex-PS Pres Graham Spanier and Sandusky. These are two very calculated predators----they did not operate in a vacuum. They were very calculated in everything they did.

NOTE Graham Spanier was fired from the PS president's job........but he and his wife are still on the PS payroll as profs. Hmmmmmm.....looks like ol' Graham used "leverage" to stay on the payroll. Betcha wife-swappin' gay lovin' Graham has some mighty interesting stories to tell.

========================================

Ex-PS president Graham Spanier's activities at Penn State (see more below) answers the one question on everyone’s mind——how did Sandusky got free rein in the PS showers with young boys? Did Spanier participate, as well? He certainly had an obsession with pederasty and moved hell and high water to give gay sex a foothold in PS.

---------------------------------------------------------

MUST READ REFERENCE Paterno is getting the most attention, but FREEPER PA BOOKENDS posted this WRT Graham Spanier, the President – who was also fired.

Spanier’s degrees are in sociology with a chosen emphasis on human sexuality – wife swapping, adolescent sex, etc. Spanier asserted he wanted to make PSU the most LGBT-friendly school in the country. Spanier's sponsorship gave Penn State the first gay fraternity in the nation. Under Spanier’s leadership, Penn State sponsored “the Tent of Consent” - all about gay sex, as well as C*ntfest (shocker).

Now, shortly after his arrival, Spanier tried to get rid of the legendary Paterno. Why? The football program was bringing in tons of money. Paterno was (and remained) one of the LOWEST paid college coaches in the country. M/M Paterno donated millions to the University. Spanier lost the battle, but one has to ask: why was Spanier so eager to get rid of Joe??

It becomes clearer and clearer why Spanier was out to ditch Paterno-—Spanier had to remove any and all obstacles in his path to solidifying Penn State as a protected pedophilia haven for Sandusky (and whoever else was involved in these heinous activities).

==================================================

Now isn’t that interesting-——Spanier was approved for the president’s job DESPITE recommendations against it by those who knew of his push to normalize homosexuality. Those who voted to approve Spanier should also be investigated——they are in deep, deep doo-doo. What did Spanier offer for a vote to approve him for the job?
