Newt Gingrich said Friday that Herman Cain should not have joked about Anita Hill potentially endorsing him for president, arguing in a radio interview that harassment is not something to be joked about.

Gosh, you only got it posted three times - we ‘heard’ you the first time
“In fact Newt always seems to be trying to get out in front and prove how smart and sensitive he is on issues - even when he is wrong like the global warming crap. “
That’s a bit of a scary trait to have in someone that’s a leader...they WILL NOT be open to advice if they think they’ve got the world figured out. That bothers me, especially when that person is wrong 15.7% of the time.
You sure are easy to rile up :)
I'm disgusted with Newt. I watched the hearings on Clarence Thomas and it was obvious Anita Hill was lying. So much so that they could have prosecuted her. The one that nailed the lie during the hearings was Alan Spector. Who would have thought. The time line of one of Anita's friends who she supposedly confided in. The time line didn't fit the time line she even worked for Clarence Thomas.
Does anyone remember how it wasn't only Clarence Thomas they went after, but one of the guys who testified for Clarence Thomas. Metzenbaum accused Mr. Doggett of sexual harassment during the hearings too.

Newt can't stand anyone else showing a spark of venomous wit. I thought Cain's retort was hilarious.
YES, I miss her and thank you. I want her back - FAST!
Disappointing.
I meant Arlan Specter. He had the evidence that Anita Hill had lied, but he chose not to proceed any further during the Clarence Thomas hearings.
New did NOT "turn(s) fire on Cain" - but the media has been longing for something - anything - they could portray that way because Newt is the ONLY candidate that stood up for Cain when TSHTF. Y'all are ignoring that. The media wants a headline grabber and by misrepresenting what Newt said, they got it - and you people swallowed it and ran with it. I guess the media is still in charge. I really expected more discernment from FREEPERs - sad.
At a company you mean?
:o)
Oh, some of these slugs have compounded the deceits. And even when you post for them ‘the rest of the story’ they continue down the lowroad, revealing of course that their reason for their behavior is not to promote or defend Herman but to malign Newt. We have quite a garden of weeds working FR in this political season.
I’m particularly averse to liars.
SNL excoriated that process. SNL used to be funny.
These are the threads that try (some) FREEPERS soul. I can totally identify with MNGinTN
The majority of the posts on this thread show the level of discernment I would expect on a DU forum.
Have a good one.
“Im considering Newt. Cain will definitely not get my vote. If I cant find someone to vote for, Ill sit out the primaries.”
Are you an IRS agent, tax preparer, or someone who makes a living from the current tax code?
So what? In the end, I supported Romney last time around, too. Against the execrable McCain and the odiferous Huckabee.
Does that disqualify me from running for office?
Whom should we have supported?
You ask: “Is there a video of the entire interview.........”
Finally! Someone who realizes it might be wise to listen to the question before condemning the answer - the media headline is a total stretch. Newt is the ONLY candidate that stood up for Cain when TSHTF - and the media has been waiting, praying for Newt to something they could interpret as a slam. The headline is such a stretch as to be comical in itself. But, boy, did the majority in here tonight grab it and run with it.
I’m beginning to think there may be a lineup of Cain groupies here that are allied and will be ready to pounce on Newt at every thread that mentions his name. Otherwise, how to explain such vitriol and seemingly lack of discernment? (It will be interesting to note the names of those defending Cain, no matter what, henceforth.)
“So what? In the end, I supported Romney last time around, too. “
So did I, and so did Rush. I guess none of us are “true” conservatives. LOL.
You should really stop typing. You can’t seem to spew out a sentence without typing something stupid and factually incorrect.
On the off chance anyone is taking you seriously:
1) The GOP held the house for 12 years once he took over.
2) The bit about kiting checks? Well....you should stop ingesting halucinogenics.
