Scr@w that.
America first!
So I guess I'll stay right where I am.
8,000 Americans gave up their citizenship last year- up from 400 just 5 years ago...
It was a no-brainer for me. The best education you can ever have is to travel. And if I ever must go back I’m moving to Texas.
Count us in.
Now where can we move where we will get free medical, free food, free housing, free education, the ability to drive drunk and legally kill people without any culpability, and no fear of deportation no matter how many laws we break, thumbing our noses at the legal citizens while at the same time demanding rights while we are waving our flag and complaining that the host’s flag is offensive?
I’m an expat living and working in Australia. I come home once a year during Thanksgiving through New Years. I enjoy learning about the country and culture. My next adventure would be to live and work in Tokyo.
More power to ‘em!!
We definitely think about it. Who wants to live here and see this once great nation slide into a total hellhole? It’s happening now, before our very eyes.
Then again, it’s the American thing to do to stay and FIGHT.
My guess is that most had made enough money that you could retire to somewhere like Costa Rica, and just gave up on the US system.
....so after voting for Obama and his liberal horde and allowing them to bring the nation to ruin, they want out?
:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(
I work overseas, but I will never give up my citizenship and I LOVE being home, warts and all.

Correct.
I’ve lived abroad.
I learned America is the best nation on Earth.
My brother is married to a great Filipina and I love heading to the RP, even on business. Ridiculously low taxes, great medical help, friendly peeps, great nightclubs. The traffic is the worst in the world though. There are Freepers who live there too.
Can ya blame them?
My wife is from Mexico so we can buy coastal land there.
We have our eye on a beautiful place down near Veracruz. For a pittance you can live like royalty there. I will have a beach front home and, if you know how to do it, you can own guns in Mexico — where they have a heavily implied castle law.
No reason for me NOT to retire there.
I moved to Australia a year ago to go to college in part because of my negative previous U.S. university experiences and I don’t regret it at all. I’d love to move back after I graduate but if I can’t start my career back home, I’ll start it elsewhere.
OK...iced tea on my screen. LOL!
