At least. If they are not concerned, they should be.

Maybe that would be an incentive not to cover up child rape for a decade.

I think it will be much MORE than that when it all comes out ‘in the wash’. JMO

If there are others, I hope they remain strong and come forward.

So, maybe the faculty could take a pay cut to help pay the claims?

The news coverage of this incident is quite irritating in at least one regard: nowhere has anyone used the word "gay" in reference to the perpetrators (no, Jerry Sandusky did not act alone.) The entire culture has been conditioned to be blind to sex crimes commited by homosexuals.

When we first initiated the process of normalizing homosexuality, we ignored the inevitable consequences.
Now that it's beginning to come to fruition, we refuse to see what is happening and simply choose to call it something else.

This is not unique in history; societies have experienced it again and again and there's a reason humanity always ends up outlawing it.

ALso consider that the NCAA is considering shutting down the Penn State football program for this year and the entire season next year.

$100 Mil is only the tip of the iceberg ...

Factor in loss in student attendance at PSU [less tuition revenue], alumni donations, corporate donations, government grants, etc. Pretty soon, you’re talking real money ...

Penn State is a "state-related" university which means it is rather independent of state oversight. It also only gets about 10 percent of it's budget from direct contributions from Harrisburg.

Hopefully, this scandal means PSU administrators and faculty have to take massive cuts in pay.

I think they’ll be paying the victims for many, many years.

There are so many people that are potentially culpable here.

....And possibly many more involved considering the story about the missing DA that’s presumed dead. That can’t be coincidence.

Geez, this whole this is like watching a disturbing movie.

The shame is that the actual people involved will skate. None of them will end up paying out of their own pockets!

I agree with the article’s estimate of $100 - $250 million in civil judgments and settlements. IMO the loss of football revenue will be comparable.

Sue it until it closes down. It’s time we started shutting the doors of these despicable “institutions”—
