I heard a Wells-Fargo economist saying what a good sign this number is.

Markets react to every number like it's the answer. Meanwhile, the debt continues to grow and many countries are still teetering on collapse.

When do the grownups take charge?

You're probably right. She didn't have the stomach for it.

revised its estimate for claims during the prior week

The revised numbers only contain one week's worth of updates with more to slowly come in. We're talking government hirelings here. It's laughable that all the revisions are up. They have made math political: 2 + 2 = 3 this week, 3.1 next week, etc.

Next week, when it makes an unexpected jump, they will blame the snowstorm for the ‘aberration’. Just watch.

“Yeah...and people working 2 part time jobs with no benefits.”

I know around 3 who are in the same boat. One of them even goes to college and works 7 days a week, no break and social life close to dead. But he spends an entire month in Asia and Canada for vacation which is the reward.

No one reads the corrections/revisions.””

I do—every week. I record the numbers in my appointment book. Since Jan 1, 2011.

<eamwhile, some people are running out of their 99 week benefits, so the numbers will go down soon. Just from that.
