With ratings head and shoulders above its cable news competitors, a Fox News Channel appearance would seem like an appropriate place for Republican presidential candidates to make their case. Foxs 6:00 p.m. Special Report program is especially popular but not with former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, who has declined to appear on the show.
We just received an email from the Romney campaign that they are officially turning down our invite to be on Center Seat, host Bret Baier revealed at the end of his Monday broadcast. They say, as of now, Gov. Romney will not appear on center seat. We hope they reconsider.
In the Center Seat segment of Special Report, candidates answer questions from a panel comprised of Baier, Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer and two other rotating experts. Newt Gingrich, Rick Perry, and other Romney rivals have already either appeared on the segment or made commitments to do so.

Romney the rino...is skurred of a lil fox... LOL!!!
Odd. They frequently shill for him.
Stunning, they way the FOX panel has been saying Romney is the nominee and he turns them down....? Morris nails it today in his lunch video email... http://www.dickmorris.com/blog/
I hope and pray we don't wind up with his sorry A$$. I will more than likely not vote. I will move to my own island.
Hmmmmm The center seat fits him. Perhaps he can sit in it and lean a little to the left.
The media will never lay a glove on Slick Willard until after the GOP convention.
The moment he is nominated, they’ll bring out all the stuff they didn’t bring out that we know of on here.
By Election Day, they’ll make him look so repulsive, even his own mother won’t vote for him.
Obama will be re-elected by a thumping margin. The game is now afoot to get him nominated quickly.
Perhaps Mitt does not like the obvious displays of public affection that would come with him showing up on Fox News. The love fest that results on these shows from the mere mentioning of Mitt Romney borders on pornographic.
Exactly. He should feel at home there!
That is what I was thinking. He should be on their every hour. It would help them justify talking about him every 15 minutes.
With a candidate like him, the GOP can win.
Why? All the media talking heads say so, that’s why!
They’re going to express their adoration for Romney until they can take him down.
Don’t believe their hero worship is genuine.
I haven’t watched tv in about 8 years, why would he not go on this show?
“By Election Day, theyll make him look so repulsive, even his own mother wont vote for him.”
There is a possibility - remote but real - that if Romney is the GOP candidate, the Republicans will place third. The bad news is that Obama would win with a plurality.
It amazes me how many of his dumb supporters don’t think this is going to happen.
It happened in 2008 because they wanted McCain, whom they showered with soft gloves until he got the nod too.
Romney doesn’t need to worry about FOX, the have his back and are working hard in his behalf.
If Romney wins he will not feel that he owes conservatives anything. He will govern exactly like he did in Massachusetts.
THe reason WHY Romney isn’t going on Fox is exactly because FOX is in his corner. They don’t want to expose the establishment FOX/ROMNEY/ROVE connection, so they make it a “SNUB” and it makes it look like FOX is not carrying Romney water.
Simple as that.
Got part way through but when Dick Morris started saying he thought Romney was just pretending to be a liberal in Massachusetts, would get rid of Obamacare and is really a conservative now, I started feeling nauseated and turned it off.
The only thing we really know about Romney is that he isn’t a conservative. Morris is clueless and Romney is a RINO.
