An Able Gingrich Makes for a Bad Cain
Townhall.com ^ | 11/8/11 | Crystal Wright

When the moderator asked both men about Medicare: “Defined benefit plan or premium support?” Cain looked bewildered and replied “You go first Newt.” By deferring complicated questions to Newt and agreeing with him on many topics, Cain left us with the impression he was auditioning for the role of vice presidential candidate. While Newt looked like he was more than ABLE to step over Cain into the role of president.

Debate tomorrow night on National Security.... should only help Newt even more. I expect Ron Paul will come off as dangerous on the subject, and Cain woefully inadequate. Newt should pick up a couple more percentage points in the polls by next week. Go Newt!!

I kind of think, Mr. Cain was running for VP all along and would throw his support behind Romney before Super Tuesday, but with the alleged scandals, all bets seem to be off.

All three panel members on Bret Baier’s FOX Election coverage tonight said that if more sexual harassment accusations come out against Herman, and the Cain campaign does fold, that Newt will be the recipient of Cain’s supporters. I’ve felt that all along. But, of course, the elitist, Rockefeller, Country Club Republican, Charles Krauthamer said Newt would be the initial recipient of the Cain support but ultimately, Romney would end up with it.

That was a bad moment for Cain and reflected a troubling theme of his campaign: he's not very concerned about policy and issue detail.

Cain is likeable, he's well educated in rigorous disciplines and had a capable business career. Unfortunately he's "winging it" in this campaign.

I find it inexplicable and frustrating not unlike Perry's unreadiness and inability to debate.

When Newt recieves the same scrutiny that Cain recieved on his personal life, Newt will fold like a bad hand.

2 divorces (The MSM and ambulance chasers will parade his ex wives on TV)
Relationship with someone under him as Speaker while being a husband
Other allegations (Trumped up or real)
Policy Flip Flops

That’s ridiculous. People that have trouble with Cain’s alleged foibles aren’t switching to someone with no moral fiber whatsoever.

So, Politicalmom, who’s your candidate? I’m still a little ticked at my girl Sarah Palin and Sen. Jim DeMint for not running. We don’t have a whole heck of a lot to choose from. So, help me out here. Who should I get behind who has the intellect and the fire in the belly that can actually beat Obama in 2012.

I like Newt’s knowledge, that said, we have always found the the more experienced some of these people are, the more establishment like they become.

I am sure you have noticed that the GOP talking heads like Rove will not accept Newt either. No matter what, it is Romney’s turn.

Newt could easily debate Obama. That part is a given.

But with Newt, people should keep in mind his support for the establisment candidate DeDe Scuzzyfuzzy, his willingness to give some credence to GW, and compromise on issues.

I know Cain isn’t perfect, but I also do not believe that any of these harrassment complaints are truthful at all. I admire Cain for not being cowed. It shows character and it shows he is a fighter, so I am not yet ready to go all in for Newt. After all, I am sure the left will come after him too if he gets up in the top two slots.

I’m hanging in there with Cain until he wins or drops out. I’m still praying that he rides out this storm and comes out stronger than ever.

That is kind of where I stand. This has hurt him.

Sad part it is looking to be all a made up attack.

I don’t see that overweight hussy out hitting the news this morning.

She probably doesn’t want anyone to suggest she also offer up a lie detector test.

All they would have to do is hook her up and the machine would go haywire!

The person who puts on the electrodes would probably be accused of groping. LOL I am not sure if those electrodes work through a ton of silicone though.
