Nearly 12 per cent of households in Los Alamos have assets worth $1m or more.
The northern New Mexico town of Los Alamos has been revealed as having the highest concentration of millionaires in America.
The town, which is home to a government nuclear weapons lab, topped a report after it was found that more than one in ten households is home to a millionaire.
Report findings state there are 885 millionaire households among the population of Los Alamos of around 18,000.

Los Alamos saw off competition from Naples, Florida, which was second, and Bridgeport, Connecticut, which was third in the list.

Take much bigger offer for me to live there.
I was just going to say something similar. If given the choice between there and Naples, I’m picking Naples every time.
And besides, every ten years or so, it's threatened with burning down by out of control forest fires.
And the highest per capita income is found among residents of the suburbs of Washington, D.C. Why is that, do you suppose?
They probably went there to get away from people conducting surveys.
Strictly coincidence. /s
Please, everyone. Get to work (if you have a job) and pay your taxes. Move along. There is nothing to see here.
This cannot possibly be right. Bridgeport is a slum full of welfare recipients.
What about towns like Greenwich, Connecticut and Palo Alto in California?
Naples, CA?
Naples, FL?
Naples, Maine????
UNIONS
Did you read the article? Naples, FL.
I think Midland, TX and Round Rock TX are among the highest in TX... don’t know how that compares to Los Alamos.
I would also take Naples, Italy.
It does have a nice ocean view
Hehehehe
I must admit I’ve been guilty of posting without reading more than once.
Los Alamos, NM and Los Altos, CA have something in common. Very expensive housing.
Los Alamos also has quite a few Chinese restaurants, which is curious, considering the size of the town.
It’s a strange place, and they roll up the sidewalks at 9 pm, too.
Wow, to think that it pays well to be a nuclear physicist... or nuclear engineer.
Boggles the mind, don’t it?
And Palo Alto is a normal town compared to Woodside or Atherton CA.
