Penn State abuse scandal engulfing revered Paterno
Last Updated: 21 minutes ago
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Every Tuesday during the fall, Joe Paterno ambles into the media room at Beaver Stadium, settles into his seat and holds court.
The octogenarian coach usually doles out some one-liners along with the injury updates.
This Tuesday's press conference isn't likely to resemble any other in Paterno's 46-year tenure at Penn State.
Paterno will be asked about what he knew and when about his former defensive coordinator and one-time heir apparent Jerry Sandusky, who was indicted on charges of sexually abusing eight boys over 15 years.
Authorities have said that Paterno, who testified in the grand jury proceedings that led to the charges, is not a target of the investigation. But the state police commissioner has chastised him and other school officials for not doing enough to try to stop the suspected abuse.

It's also very likely that Sandusky committed many acts with kids inside the Penn State facilities. The pathology f pedophiles is such that they need to have a comfort zone, a space where they feel safe, untouchable. For Sandusky, that was the Penn State athletic buildings.
They are all co-conspirators to me.
Indict them, try them, and let a jury decide.
They had him on tape admitting that in 1998. The janitor that cleaned the showers testified that the had seen him in 2000.

News Release: AFA of PA Calls For Removal of Penn State President
..dissertation...Just charming.
Yes, I see your points very clearly and I agree. I was wondering if, from a legal aspect, if Paterno can escape prosecution.
IMO, it’s sad on many levels, not only for the boys that were harmed, but for the long and legendary career of Paterno. Bad way to have to go out and I don’t think even if he is cleared, he has enough time to live this down. Just sad.
After Victim #1 broke down at school (Mother's quotes). They are co-conspirators also. They told me to go home and think about what I wanted to do, and I was not happy, she said. They said I needed to think about how that would impact my son if I said something like that. I went home and got [my son] and we came to [Children and Youth Services] immediately.
Thank you for the information. I have a friend that went to Penn State and he tells me that in forums, etc. alumni are going nuts fighting about Paterno and how he should go out. He tells me it’s about 50/50 but friendships are fraying and harsh words flying about.
From his point of view, he is saddened that Paterno is involved at all.
Paterno should step down immediately for the good of all. PSU needs to clean house and if Joe would step down then they could move forward in the cleaning.
The county DA knew. I am sure that Joe knew.
The guys that cleaned the locker room knew. I am sure that Joe knew.
I’m quite suprised, I’ve long thought that ESPN is basically a homosexual operation after seeing every issue of their magazine being little but gay porn if going by the cover. I honestly am not out to police the actions of adults with consenting adults but what little knowledge I have of the community they have little desire to police the true psychopaths amongst themselves.
The good old college sports cult that too many conservatives waste their money on and I’m talking big money.
Which station is broadcasting this week’s game with Nebraska? And who is advertising on it?

It needs to be remembered that Jerry Sandusky retired somewhat early in 1999. There's that tape floating around where Sandusky admits to wrongdoing in 1998. It may just turn out that a lot of University officials knew a lot more than they are willing to admit & at a much earlier date.
IAW the appropriate sections of PA state law, it legally covers him. Does it do so morally? There is where the debate is raging...
