I agree we should defend our borders. Let’s just have as many bases overseas as other countries. Let’s just not spend many many times as much for our military as anyone else does.
I understand that many freepers do make a living making bombs and planes and they don’t want to lose their jobs. But we need to make serious cuts in government spending even if it hurts our defense industries.
We’re just spending too much money. We have to figure out places to make cuts. And if the defense industries hurt because if it, well, that’s just the breaks. We can’t afford to buy all the planes and bombs they want to sell anymore.

No, what we cannot afford are entitlements. We spend far more on entitlements than we do anything else.
Last time I checked military spending is Constitutional. Socialist Security, Mediscare, Medicaid, and bloated federal pensions are unconstitutional.
Protecting the nation is the federal government’s main job, case closed.
