Do nail salons use detergent as part of the manicure process?
(Just trying to “get” this.)

My bet is the thieves are Obama class warriors who see no problem taking from those who have to “spread the wealth around”.

One Safeway store was losing about $15,000 per month in Tide alone. Lemme see....
You're in the business of selling stuff, which means you have some sort of loss prevention program in place, and you're losing as much as some small businesses are currently grossing, and you haven't made the necessary changes to deal with it?
These guys are filling shopping carts before darting out of the store? And you're just standing there?!
Someone is in the wrong business.

I guess these thieves are “taking in laundry” can't seem to come up with any other reason for this. If they can run out the door with jugs of laundry detergent it seems like that could just as easily run out the door with cases of beer or wine and have a bigger market.

Just googled some alternative uses for Tide detergent ...... Apparently it is used to wash peoples hair to mask the use of certain drugs such as smoking pot .... to help pass a "Hair Follicle Drug Test."
Now it kinda makes sense!!! Surprised this wasn't addressed in the article.
