Republican 2012 presidential candidates Republican 2012 presidential candidates Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich met in a Lincoln-Douglas style debate on current economic and social issues facing the U.S.
MEDIA STILL BRINGING UP SEXUAL HARASSMENT!

“My conservative spirits haven’t been lifted like this in quite awhile. It was inspiring. When the biggest debate “we” are having afterwards is which of these two men would be better at the top of the ticket, as opposed to arguing over which of them left the other dead and bleeding on the stage? We win. “
Well said! That’s precisely how I felt: LIFTED...and really HOPEFUL (in spite of the horrendous fight we will get from the dying liberal types). I am being realistic....and extremely hopeful. ;-)
That’s really not a surprise. Gingrich is great at this stuff. We just need Cain to get better, and he is.
I agree completely Cain/Gingrich is the winning ticket that will not only destroy the zero but will save our country.

It should bring you to the C-SPAN archive library where pretty much anything C-Span has covered since 1987 is available.
Fair enough
Obviously, the fact that Newt Gingrich has been a resident of VIRGINIA since @ 1999 must be restated time and time again...
*blush*
The question was regarding the number of weeks of unemp comp. Newt gave the answer of a person having to enter an employer-sponsored training program. How would this be applied equally to the blue collar worker who ran a tool crib and the highly experienced & trained software developer? If the answer is it can’t, then what is his answer for The Other Unemployed Workers and how will it be determined who has to take training and who doesn’t?
i agree-cain/gingerich. cains freshness and extreme likability need to be at the top for the general election.
newt is super-smart, but all those past issues...
re: Newt’s unempl training idea....when the Government decides WHAT training is needed....it is a problem...if the gov’t would get out of the way we wouldn’t have the problems we have now....but, you know that!
ditto.
I felt that way too. But unless it ends up being Newt that debates Obama, prepare for some letdown.
Viewers would rather hear the candidates speak on the issues.
The AP loses.
Dated!
(well, ok, I was watching Ed Sullivan instead ;-)
It’s not really, you get that?
Are you saying the electors have to have confidence in where the POTUS or VP is from? They can’t be from the same state? Never heard of that.
How does an elector KNOW where a candidate is from?
Cain lives in Georgia. Newt lives in Virginia. No worries.
