As he appeared on stage Friday before a gathering of conservative activists, Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cain gave no indication that he was discouraged after a turbulent week marked by allegations that he had sexually harassed former employees. Cain opened his speech with an obvious jab at President Obama, and at rival Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who had delivered his own speech just moments before.
Before I get started, I want to know, whose teleprompters are these? Cain said after taking the stage. I dont need em. Maybe theyre for somebody else.
Then he got philosophical, warning the audience against a life without dreams.
The American dream has been hijacked, he said. But the good news is, we can take it back.
Cain touted his business background and defended his 9-9-9 tax plan. He made no mention of the sexual harassment allegations.
But he did address another topic his relationship to the billionaire brothers David and Charles Koch, who are credited with having founded Americans for Prosperity, the group that hosted the summit.
Im very proud to know the Koch brothers, Cain said. This may be a breaking news announcement for the media: I am the Koch brothers brother from another mother.
David Koch, who was sitting in the front row of the packed ballroom at the Washington Convention Center, stood as the crowd burst into applause

I challenge the Kochs. Get some top-grade detectives and lawyers (whom you certainly can afford) and turn them loose on Politico, its "anonymous sources," and their lawyers, and bring them all to justice. Give the enemy a taste of his own medicine. No more of this G.W. Bush rope-a-dope crap. This is war.
Our current President talks down to us like we’re children. And quite frankly, its enough to make people walk out of the room.
All good recommendations except for Petraeus—he is not a friend of Israel.
But the LATimes sure made mention of it didn't they?
I googled Koch brothers. Nuff said.
Rush may agree with you...he said Herman Cain doesn't know enough to organize protection from a hit piece. He asked..."Who is this dumb, amateur idiot who's entered our (MSM) business of politics? He never done anything but run a pizza place and he's outsmarting us with no strategy?
Looks like Cain outsmarted the "experts"...on the left and, sadly, on the "right" (Tokyo, Dana PeRINO, etc.)
Made me think of this...

Love this guy!
He seems to be doing just fine being Herman Cain. I it’s not broken, don’t tr to fixs it. :o)
They expected him to convict himself.
The state-controlled media has lost sight of what’s important in this country.
Look, I currently support Cain. I have donated money to his campaign, but I have to agree with you. At the right time Cain will have to demonstrate that he has the chops to be president. That includes being knowledgable in foreign policy. The world has gotten even more dangerous since the Obama circus and Herman is going to have to show that he will be able to handle domestic and international crises.
lOL!!!
The resemblance is uncanny :)
Three cheers for that idea! Hoozah hoozah hoozah!!!
bttt
El Rushbo was mocking the MSM, of course...
It doesn't matter at this point. Come on the man is a winner. He didn't bring GodFathers Pizza back without help. He picked good people to help. He will do the same once elected. He is also strong enough to fire someone (ie Holder etc.) If they don't live up to expectations.
GO HERMAN! ! ! ! ! !
Rush was playacting a liberal. He was being sarcastic.
