Coming soon: Occupy National Restaurant Association?

MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell on his primetime show last night shared names and photos of senior officials of the National Restaurant Association (NRA) in order to intimidate them in ending the confidentiality agreements between the group and the two women it settled with that claimed they were sexually assaulted. O'Donnell also called for a boycott of the restaurants the group represents as well as an occupation of their headquarters. Continue reading for details.

"I want people to see the people who are currently protecting the secrets of Herman Cain," O'Donnell said as a photograph of Sue Hensley, senior vice president for public affairs at the National Restaurant Association appeared on the screen. O'Donnell accused this Restaurant Association employee of "protecting the secrets of Herman Cain."

Yep.

This man apparently has no clue or respect for the fact that confidentiality agreements are binding legal contracts. Moreover, he seems to have no concern that the women involved do not appear to want to come forward. I guess their “right to privacy” is only operative if they desire abortion.

"Beyond that, O’Donnell is inviting violence."

"....then a firestorm should be visited upon the 1200 17th street Northwest and the members of the National Restaurant Association,...."

This ******* belongs in jail for this statement alone.

Larry never, ever, ever got this angry when a white man was accused of sexual harassment.

I guess he's looking for a good strong limb to throw the rope over.

I guess '1984' is one of Mr O'Donnell's favorite books.

For him, it's a "how to" manual, like 'Atlas Shrugged' is for 0.

Do you realize you just played right into the Leftist theater of the absurd that Larry is flacking here?

Nothing real or reliable can be accomplished by either the NRA or the women waiving the confidentiality agreements at this point.

There’s a reason the law has statutes of limitations: it recognizes that after a certain amount of time has passed the testimony of witnesses becomes unreliable and subject to corruption.

Are we not smart enought, or politically savvy enough, to realize the same principle applies here?

Complaints were made against Herman Cain. They were investigated and closed as unsubstantiated. Mr. Cain was exonerated. The accusers were terminated, given the usual severance pay and they entered into the usual confidentiality agreements. They declined to try to take their accusations to court or to appeal them through the EEOC or, if applicable, their union.

END OF DISCUSSION.

If you were given a citation for DUI 15 years ago, but the judge dismissed it for lack of evidence before it even went to trial, then the cop who issued you the citation was terminated, given the usual severance pay and entered into a confidentiality agreement — would you agree that there was a reasonable basis to question whether or not you actually engaged in DUI, as the cop initially cited you for?

I don’t, and I don’t see anything left unanswered in the situation about the complaints made against Herman Cain, either.

Wanting this case re-opened, as Larry O’Donnell does, is just a way to Jerry Springer-ize the nominating process. Again, absolutely NOTHING real or reliable could come out of allowing people to say whatever they want to say, which all would be impossible to corroborate or refute at this point.

And we are trying to determine our presidential nominee. Doesn’t it seem suspicious to you that so many instead want to sit around and go all “celebrity crime mentality” on this?

Please, people. go back to mulling how the Casey Anthony or Amanda Knox case should have been done if superior human beings had been in charge.

The left had no problem with Bill Clinton who was accused of far more specific and serious offenses by women whose identities were open to the public, and acted on their own behalf. No one buys the faux outrage of the leftist Cain attackers.

Gee, I wonder how the big restaurant chains that advertise on NBC feel about this?

If they're advertising on MSDNC (hat tip Apostle Claver), they probably wholeheartedly agree with it...so long as it's not THEIR restaurant(s)...

I am more than pissed about this crap, three women came out and told that they had been abused and one raped by bill clintoon. According to neal boortz this am, 5 stories were in the main stream news media over a three day period about this.

Cain, may have called some stupid woman darling, honey are some other wild remark, no one knows and no woman has said. We have 50 damn stores about nothing in 5 days. And hundreds of spin stories posted here by the perrywinkles blasting Cain and one fool throwing out the word rape. This has got to stop.
