Politico's Simon: Herman Cain Is Derailing His Campaign, Not Politico (they talked to accusers)
Real Clear Politics ^ | 110311 | Real Clear Politics

Posted on 11/03/2011 10:55:39 PM PDT by Fred

Politico's Roger Simon, who said Rick Perry being racist appeals to GOP primary voters over the weekend, touts his publication for its anonymously-sourced article claiming presidential hopeful Herman Cain sexually harassed two women while he was the chief of a restaurant lobbying group.

Simon claims it Herman Cain's botched response that is "derailing his own campaign" and not the Politico for continuing to hound and pressure the candidate.

Amazing what a threat of a lawsuit can do. Politico throws the ladies under the bus

If the alleged allegations didn’t have the power to gravely threaten the Cain campaign, then why did Politico release them? It doesn’t make sense.

Wow

Do you wonder if this whole thing was a fishing expedition? They threw some “vague” allegations out there hoping someone would come forward who really was a “victim”?

Cool job these guys have. You can claim to have “sources” and that gives you license to print any unsubstantiated bullshit you desire, never having to be held accountable for it.

To think of all the grievous mischief I could cause the Rats if I only had a publication of my own....

The backtracking has begun. It is the NRA that is going to go after them.

By the way, Fred, did you see that new “meme” there that we’ve all been talking about? They weren’t pinning him down on the allegations, so then it became “Cain just isn’t handling it well” It’s the same thing everywhere, here, Twitter, on certain news outlets, certain talking heads cough*rove*cough, the trolls on Facebook.

Things that make you go hmmmmm...

mofos. I have seen heavy support on twitter for Cain, his campaign raised at least $250,000 today so far over 1.2 million for the week.

Thanks to the social media and websites like freerepublic the truth gets out, folks are comparing intel and getting to the facts and blocking out all the attempted noise from the likes of politico, DU, Scarianna-po msDNC (msnbc)

Its never the actual evidence. They’re still looking through the gutter.

At least prostitutes are honest about what they do.

"If everything these women say turns out to be absolutely true, and I have no reason to believe it's not, that would not necessarily end the Cain campaign."

What a very odd thing to say.

It's as if to say "We reported it as a scandal...but it's not."

ALL the remaining Republican candidates must hold hands and boycott any further debates sponsored in any part by POLITICO. To continue with this farce is suicide.

I learned long ago, if the MSM hates someone, they must be pretty moral and be someone who can’t be bribed, not a dirt bag like Zero, Edwards, Clinton, Jesse Jackson, T.Kennedy-—like all the people they HIDE the truth about.

Every person they laud is a cesspool type person who is godless.

People should learn....if MSM tries to destroy someone....they are good.

Also Perry is tight with the owner of Politico, Robert Allbritton, BFs.

“Thanks to the social media and websites like freerepublic the truth gets out, folks are comparing intel and getting to the facts and blocking out all the attempted noise from the likes of politico, DU, Scarianna-po msDNC (msnbc)”

That’s exactly what it is. Meanwhile, the dinosaur media is scratching their heads going, “What is happening? Cain shouldn’t be rising in the polls, he should be going down!” LOL

Simon claims it Herman Cain's botched response that is "derailing his own campaign" and not the Politico

So derailing means Cain had more money received immediately into his campaign and still on top of the polls after the unsubstantiated attack by unsubstantiated accusers by a Clintonista Attorney who at first had no file on record or knowledge of the case in memory [edited out of the WashingtonPo] and then said he wanted release of docs from NRA but the National Restaurant Assoc had not been contacted, they said, that the accuser wanted to come forward, but then was said to have never said she would, another appeared and another..whereas the logical attackers were then said to be from Cain's own side of the aisle meaning Romney or Perry because of former or present donor relationships with the group; however it may not always be as it seems especially if Rahm Emanuel also had ties as well and one alleged victim may be in Chicago--so polls show Cain is in the news more than ever..what would have been honorable is for the other candidates to offer support that such tactics are not welcome on their side of the aisle. If it can happen to Cain it can happen to the rest of them, they are just not a real threat to Obama as of yet.

Also note and no one has talked about it that I know..when you think of Chicago, you think of the powerful Service Employees International Union [SEIU] who had picketed outside the National Restaurant Association’s headquarters whereas lawmakers on Capitol Hill then quickly brought forward the union card-check bill. The NRA and the SEIU are strange bedfellows.

There are more players in the game than what may appear from the hidden or "unknown" players in Politico's breaking story. It would be beneficial for the Left to have the top presidential hopefuls fighting amongst themselves while the Democrats sit back and snicker..and the media just follows the bread crumbs that are dropped..purposely?

Justsaynomore, that is definitely the game that is being played.

Oh the concern trolls are just so worried about how Cain has “handled” this “scandal.”

This so over the top that anyone with an IQ above 1 can see through the game.

Manufacture a non scandal “scandal” and then insist that the non scandal “scandal” is not being handled well.

Oh America you are so much suckers for what you see on that box of lies in your living room. Pfft.
