One of the women alleging Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cain sexually harassed her two decades ago received a $45,000 settlement, substantially more than what Cain initially said was paid out.
The new revelation, reported by Politico on Thursday, comes just days after the embattled candidate said he was unaware of any settlement. He later backtracked and said the woman was paid maybe three months salary.
The settlement is also significantly more than what another one of the accusers received. The New York Times reported Tuesday that another woman received $35,000 from the National Restaurant Association, of which Cain was President of at the time.
The bombshell allegations also come on the heels of a third woman who came forward claiming Cain also propositioned her.
The former NRA employee claimed Cain invited her to his corporate apartment after work and made unwelcome sexually suggestive comments in the 1990s, the Associated Press reported.
The woman said she did not file a formal complaint with the restaurant association once she learned another employee had already flagged Cain as a harasser, she told AP.
The new accusations came as a former National Restaurant Association employee turned Republican pollster, Chris Wilson, detailed how he personally saw Cain sexually harass a woman during an association dinner in Virginia more than a decade ago.
"It was very uncomfortable," Wilson said during an Oklahoma radio interview, according to Politico.com
Several people asked Cain to stop, but the woman was so flustered that she left the restaurant, Wilson said.
Wilson is now a supporter of Republican rival Rick Perry and runs polls for a "super" political action committee backing Perry's bid for the White House.

Make it stop!!! Its like throwing shiola at the wall and hopin and a prayin something stinks. What does one do? I guess it will all b okay when Cain just quits, yea thats it. :( pissed off
Is that ALL she was paid? That’s a nusance settlement
The third woman ~ ?
What happened to woman 5, 6, 7, 8? Did they all disappear overnight or what?
I doubt any of the many versions of this stuff are true.
On the other hand, if they are true.. at least we know Cain likes women.
Which is more than can be said for Obama.
Oversenstive and insecure hags got a settlement over allegedly just words and ‘uncomfortable’ discourse exchanged?
UGH.
So what?
Really!
So what!
Man, I think I’ll make a factless accusation of sexual harassment against my company’s CEO. Easy money...
Only problem is, he’s an old fart and people might look at me funny.
That will be what? Another Million in donations to Cain?
I’m laughing so much at this whole thing!!!!!!!!!
Severence pay
...and how many millions did they ask for originally?
I don’t believe any of this anymore. Unless the woman speaks out herself, the rest of these stories are sheer BS.
All these sources seem to have someone they are talking to.
If I am to believe them, I want the person who is yapping to come out and quit being a rotten coward.
No source except Politico’s word. How do they know? If they do, did someone break the terms of their settlement?
Now that is just too funny. And very true. LOL
I know of a company who hired, then offended a person whose gender was unknowable. Even went to the trouble of building the person their own restroom and locker room.
Nothing worked and the company settled by paying the person $50K to go away.
>>Severence pay<<
When we were offered packages to leave BP America, we got six months pay, and up to 1500.00 for school. I walked out with nearly 20,000 and a new education. I was employed by the mailroom (even though I worked through the building). Those on higher floors got tons more.
45,000 was nothing back then to get you gone.
Check out Pyjamas Media, which is by no means a liberal site, if you want more details. They’re pretty bad. And it looks as if one or both of the women involved now want to come forward personally.
