Adding to the ongoing Herman Cain sexual harassment controversy, two sources have now confirmed to PJ Media that a female employee of the National Restaurant Association told associates she had been brought by Mr. Cain to his Crystal City, Virginia residence where she alleged he had taken advantage of me.
One source, a male, told PJ Media:
Herman took advantage of seniority and power with a young woman. It was an abuse of power.
Implying that coming forward with the accusations was an ordeal for the young woman, the source also said:
Who do you believe, a CEO or a mid-level staffer? It was unsettling for her to make charges.
The name of the woman who was in her early twenties at the time of the alleged incident has been confirmed by PJ Media. We have chosen not to reveal her identity for reasons of discretion.
Both sources, one male and one female, worked at the time mid-1990s for the governmental affairs department of the National Restaurant Association, as did the woman.

I hate to say this but if you can be bought off for one year’s severance pay how much abuse did you suffer? Plus why did you have to leave your position in the first place if you were the victim? I’m just not buying it.
People need to stop being astonished by this; it's obviously a bigger deal when a famous evangelical pastor has gay sex with young men than when a left-wing openly-gay congressman has sex with young men, for example.
The hypocrisy angle is what infuriates people when it's moral indiscretions among loudly self-identified social conservatives.
“He isn’t sharing the source’s names, they aren’t anonymous to him..”
Well he isn’t a court. And he is hiding names and passing along a story.
When some of these “people” have the balls to show themselves, then we can talk.
Anonymous is not a valid excuse.
You mean the married, christian, pastor, etc. who can’t remember any indiscretions?
That guy?
True. If Cain came out and said that he brought her home, had her sleep on the couch, and sent her home, then I’d take him at his word. But based on the few bits of information, it sound much more likely that something consensual happened, which isn’t harassment, but isn’t honoring his marriage either..
I liked it sooooo much I read it all three times.
I agree. I have supported Cain all the way, but I won’t vote for an adulterer if somehow this turns out to be true.
Ross Perot once fired one of his top guys at EDS when he discovered the man was cheating. The man was incredulous, reminding Perot how much he had done for the company.
Perot simply said, “If your wife can’t trust you, I can’t trust you”.
Presently, I have no reason to believe that Herman Cain cheated on his wife. This seems like a seek and destroy mission.
Are we all losing sight of the fact that this story is completely different from the one her lawyer was telling just a day ago??
That may be; I don't think any of us have enough info yet to make a firm decision on the merits. I have been trying not to comment on this; as I figure it will come to a resolution pretty quickly.
If he is guilty or not guilty of bad conduct; lets get it figured out now.
We don't have much time left to get behind a candidate.
Well, at least we can be sure of one thing: the current Governor of the great state of Texas has never stepped out on his lovely wife.
If a man's own wife can't trust him, how can the nation's voters?
It should have been for Clinton too. We know why it wasn't. Didn't help that Monica was actively pursuing him, not the case here.
The naysayers need to get real. If this happened to one of their daughters they wouldn't call it sexual harassment. They'd call it rape.
(All of the above assumes that the story and the logical implication are true. I suppose he could have taken her to his apt because she was smashed, put her in the bed and slept on the sofa ....)
Any conservative should know there are double standards for Conservatives vs liberals. A liberal has to be found with a dead girl, or a live boy, for a scandal to bring them down.
For a conservative the standard reverts back to the current accepted Corp standard : Have sex or any inapproiate behavior with an underling and you are toast.
It may not be fair but it is the current rule.
How??? He did WHAT?? Touched her? Touched his chin? The doorknob? What's with the ****ing innuendo stuff? Get specific or GTFO!
Rush took you “didn’t handle it well” people to the woodshed today, made that argument look ridiculous.
Where does it say he had sex with her?
What if Cain took her there because he knew she would be safe there, not willing for her to be left alone in her admittedly drunken condition, to be taken advantage of by someone else?
This is getting absurd. This could of all been an act of kindness so this subordinate could be safe.
But no, we have her cheating on his wife; raping a passed out woman; getting a woman drunk and taking advantage of her. Based on what?
Innuendo? Misleading “facts”? Unprovable assumptions?
Cain’s character has been attested to many times by others. I am not willing to believe the worse until it is proven.
I have had enough of this anonymous source horse sh#t. If you are going to ruin a man, I want to know who you are.
On top of all that is claim by the girl that she was "taken advantage of"...that is dripping with the suggestion of rape.
All this considered, a $35,000 settlement doesn't seem commensurate with this growing pile of allegations.
Bill Clinton: Actually had a sample of his seed on Monica Lewinsky's dress, irrevocably proving he committed sexual harassment. Also, both Kathleen Willey and Juanita Broderick publicly accused Bill Clinton of trying to force himself on them (he was allegedly succesful in Broderick's case).
Damn, you're right. Cain is clearly much worse than Bill Clinton. Nice try, Romneybot.
I’d like to know why the story keeps changing. And he ran for office before, I think—wouldn’t that come out then?
