Hot Air Presidential Survey Results

Two things worth noting, and then I’ll let the results speak for themselves. First, the top five candidates from the last survey are again the top five candidates in this survey, and in exactly the same order. Herman Cain again takes the top spot, followed by Rick Perry, Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney and Ron Paul. Second, Cain is the first candidate to cross the 50% mark in a survey, at 50.97%. This includes surveys where Sarah Palin was included. In fact, the only candidate to come close to 50% was Perry, who hit 48.29% in September.

Just wow. Thanks Rove. Thanks Smearbots. Seems your slander campaign about Cain is blowing up in your faces.

Since HA was somewhat disdainful of the way Herman expressed his concern about China CONTINUING in their Nuclear Quest, I find these survey results oddly satisfying.

When were these results posted? Wasn’t this BEFORE all the recent events?

YES!

Finally perhaps these Professional Political Hacks will stop their mudslinging tactics and smear campaigns so we can get down to the real issues.

I wonder how much Karl Rove and his bandits make every year “advising” the GOP?

One reason I won’t give to the RNC. I give to the candidate of my choosing.

A stupid question: Has Cain attacked any of the other candidtaes in the debates?

Cain is just a flash in the pan, the favor of the month and is not to be considered a serious candidate.

What is it with you Cain People? Isn’t it clear by now that your candidate is just Mitt’s stalking horse?

Sure he is up in all the polls, but those polls mean nothing. Besides PMS-NBC and The New York Slimes says Cain is just a poor Minstrel putting on a show for Redneck Racist Terrorist that make up the ‘Teabagger’ party. I mean gosh darn it didn’t you see Karl Rove’s whiteboard the other day! The man is a genius! You need to listen to him, he knows far better what’s good for you than even you do!

Face it there is little difference between the Cain and Mitt, why Cain even supported Mitt in 2008!

Have you Cain people no shame? Doesn’t it embarrassed you you that your candidate is little more that Mitt’s errand boy? Everyone knows that even should Cain win with 51% of the delegates he will just turn them over to Mitt.

Clearly you are embarrassing yourself and the Republican Party with your support of a man who is blatantly using the nominating process to sell books and get a nice cushy job on Fox.

How can you take Cain seriously? The man has no money? How can he run a serious campaign when he has no slush fund to pay bribes and hush money from? So Cain raised $400,000 in a day, why a couple of the real candidates spent more than that decorating their tour bus, heck some of the candidates wifes spend that much shopping for accessories. I expect that any day now Cain will have to start delivering pizzas just to make ends meet.

Sure Cain has a plan, but it’s not a prefect plan and yes its easy to understand and yet you don’t understand that’s part of what is wrong with Cain’s plan! Mitt has shown that a good tax plan can not be printed on anything less than whole forest worth of paper. And that we don’t need to understand a plan, because we will be told what’s in it by our high dollar accountants once its past. And then there’s all his ‘misspeak’, at the rate stuff spills out of his mouth he’ll soon be the laughing stock of all 57 states, don’t you understand facts are stupid things and Cain’s constant string of misspeak is a big f***ing deal. You don’t see anyone else doing it do you? I mean I don’t want to be heartless here, but clearly Cains statements are making the Republican party a laughingstock all the way from Wasilla to Russia.

Now we are finding out that Cain is a randy old goat chasing women right and left and who wants a President that can’t keep his pants up? Do you want that kind of behavior in the Oval Office?

Do you know that Cain worked for the Fed? And while there in participated in ancient Masonic/illuminati/Knights Templar Satanic rituals that included the sacrificing of small animals and (insert jewish/christian/mormon here)children by throwing them into the whirling blades of black helicopters?

Lastly I must ask you do you Cain supporters know that Cain has horns and a tail?

For the good of the party and the country please help us get Cain out of the race and allow the only person that can beat Barack Obama, (Fill in this Blank) to win the nomination.

If you doubt any of the claims I have stated just grab the nearest Romney, Perry or Paul supporter and they will be more than willing to verify all including the horns and tail thing.

Wow. 100% of Cain’s rise came from Perry’s fall. I have no idea if Perry’s folks leaked the story. But you don’t have to be Columbo to see they certainly had the motive - and nothing to lose.

The difference between the first and second choice pollls is what is telling here:

1st choice:

Cain 51%
Perry 17%
Gingrich 15%
Romney 11%

2nd choice:

Gingrich 34%
Cain 19%
Perry 19%
Romney 8%

If the Cain campaign collapses, and his voters go their 2nd choice, Gingrich would be the front runner. Perry, according to this survey, currently has no path to victory.

I read an article several months ago (when Cain’s numbers were tiny) predicting Cain would end up in the lead at some time, because he was the 2nd choice of a huge number of voters. Well, it looks like Gingrich now has the 2nd choice advantage.

Herman Cain is gaining because he is on the message of America First. He is under attack because he is PRO USA.

That is some surprisingly good poll results for Cain! But does anyone know their methodology? Those results seem so far different from other national polls.

I assume it is an online poll like Zogby, because its participants were 70% male, and these results resemble Zogby's.

Doesn't Cain poll higher with males?
Either way, it wouldn't mean the poll should be thrown out or ignored, just taken with a grain of salt. PLUS it would definitely explain why all the 'long knives' are gunning for Cain. ...I know, mixed metaphors ;-p

China CONTINUING in their Nuclear Quest

This is classic taking stuff out of context. I listened to the actual interview (by Woodruff?) and almost in the same sentence Cain mentions Aircraft Carriers. It is widely known that China is pursuing nuclear powered aircraft carriers, so if you listen to the whole interview, the context becomes clear. The interviewer understood the answer and never questioned Cain if he was alluding to nuclear weapons.

I can understand MSM doing these kind of shenanigans, but posters here on FR? Just amazing!
