Cain Says Perry Camp Behind Sex Harassment Leak
forbes ^

Posted on 11/02/2011 1:12:28 PM PDT by Perdogg

Was the recent attack on Herman Cain’s presidential campaign a professional hit job? Absolutely, says Herman Cain. And he says he knows just where to look for the guy who did it: At 815 Slaters Lane in Alexandria, Virginia, a low-slung former warehouse in the shadow of a coal plant.

Very thoughtful and candid post.

I will think on this.

Cheers!

If Cain had sexually harassed anyone, does anyone think the National Restaurant would not have fired him as soon as it was confirmed?

And during all those years a Pillsbury, Burger King and God Fathers, why are there no allegations against him for harassment?

how true is it that she is the one driving this?

No truth at all to that accusation.

Let me make it clear, I have never met Rick. I was a delegate at the Texas Republican Convention the first time he ran on his own for Governor, and I voted for him then. I was with the delegation from Haskell County and his parents were there. He was "asked" to run, but not by Anita.

If you have something snarky to say about Anita, you had best not let my father hear it. He is a crusty 86 year old West Texas farmer and WWII vet. If you want your A$$ kicked say something snide about her. She nursed my grandfather before he died and is a fine lady.

An Austin Newspaper reporter made such a transgression and it is a good thing he was not near here. hee hee hee

Where there's smoke, there's a campaign strategist blowing smoke.

(Remember, the original allegations were of "NON-sexual" gestures...and now with each new "accuser" the allegations get progressively more serious?)

Fail.

(Look at Mrs. Cain. Compare her facial expressions to Mrs. Schwarzenegger or Mrs. Spitzer or Mrs. Clinton.)

Cheers!

If you’d seen some of my posts from yesterday (I’m sure they’re still there) you’ll see that I found the sexual harassment charges somewhat trivial and they weren’t having any impact on my support for Mr. Cain.

I have always maintained that I would happily support Mr. Cain if he were the nominee, although I made one post this evening poking fun at another’s post saying I was “scratching him off my list.”

However, the Tiny Hyenas of Groupthink Island are particularly wound up tonight and the place is rife with hyperbole, innuendo and spin.

Personally, I’m rather entertained by it at this point.

Cheers!

By the way, my mother is a Swede. She grew up on the Iron Range and graduate High School in Duluth.

I have been there many times, it is beautiful country. Like the lakes and all the water.

My mother and father met in Washington DC just before he shipped out to Europe during WWII. They have been married 65 years.

Actually, it is now four witnesses who are “behind this.” Better to come out now than in the general election.

Then Cain should seek the release the women from the NRA agreement that keeps them from commentating on the details of the case, so everyone can tell their side of the story.

So far, Cain has told parts of his side of the story. He may be legally forbidden from speaking about too many details of the incidents, so who knows what else he has to say. Besides Cain, we're getting other sources offering details. But who knows.

An airing of the facts will make his innocence obvious, if the facts indeed don’t merit the seriousness of the charges against him.

If you were not drinking you would not have attributed the charges being made of sexual harassment by four different women, to people engaged in second-hand discussion of those same reports on an internet forum.

The people discussing the allegations on this internet forum are not the people who have made the allegations, or reported the allegations.

I posted the link to show that politico was coming out with more accusations (3rd one I think) and this time “quoting” a conservative talk show host.

I think these continuing accusations, originating with politico but being echoed everywhere else are going to take their toll on Cain’s campaign. I posted elsewhere on this thread that his response has not been good but that is probably because he lacks sufficient funds at this time to mount a better defense.

But I laughed at your troll statement because you never thought I was a troll on all those many Palin threads where we both defended her and extolled her virtues or those many Perry threads where we both exposed him for what he is.

Cheers!

By the same token if Herman is a “mensch,” *he* will withdraw for making accusations on this TV show against the Perry campaign, his former staffer, and, as well, as for saying he couldn’t remember anything with Politico first contacted him and then all weekend.

He now he has full recollection of the time he sat down and told this man all about the case in 2003?

Paranoia or projection? Rotten memory or judgement?

Either way, not consistent on the part of the Cain campaign, not a great show of restraint on the part of Mr. Cain.

He used to do ballistics for the Navy, I did molecular modeling and other classified stuff for the DoD

And to think I wasted my time killing people that didn't even piss me off for $95 a month.

BTW where is your Minnesota butt buddy?
Minnesota had a Governor that wore a boa and was the only state to vote against Reagan in 1984. You should be proud. I'll take Perry

No truth at all to that accusation.

This seems to be contradicted by some of the quotes in Parade Magazine (Sunday supplement).

For example:

"Your husband says you urged him to enter the race. Why?

My daddy was a family practice doctor, and in the 1970s after Medicare began, I remember him telling me, as wise as he was, “We’re moving towards socialized medicine. The first time you take a dollar from the federal government, they’ll start trying to control your life.” I became a nurse, and I’ve seen government take away more and more of our freedom to choose the care we want and the drugs we want.

When did you first talk to your husband about running?

I started thinking about it last November after his reelection. Then in June a friend sent me a magazine article; it was about Obamacare. I read it and thought, “I don’t want more of the same.” One day Rick and I were talking and I said, “I am so concerned with our children’s future and their children’s future and what will happen to them. We’ve given so many years to public service, and we need to make a difference.” I didn’t want us to wake up when we were 80 and regret we didn’t do this. Our country is in danger, in my opinion"

"If he is elected president next year, what issues or causes will you take up as first lady?

It’s hard to say. I’m a health care professional. I love our military. But we’ve got a lot of work to do before we make it to the White House."

And then you wrote (had to distinguish the italics somehow):

If you have something snarky to say about Anita, you had best not let my father hear it. He is a crusty 86 year old West Texas farmer and WWII vet. If you want your A$$ kicked say something snide about her. She nursed my grandfather before he died and is a fine lady.

That has nothing to do with political ambition, does it?

An Austin Newspaper reporter made such a transgression and it is a good thing he was not near here. hee hee hee

What happened to him? Did he get sent in exile to write for The Dallas Morning News?

Cheers!

And to think I wasted my time killing people that didn't even piss me off for $95 a month.

That's why the US invented nukes, remember? So the grunts didn't have to do an amphibious invasion of Japan.

What would the population of the US have been if we had invaded: so many young men killed and never becoming fathers?

BTW where is your Minnesota butt buddy?

My Minnesota butt is in the Twin Cities, buddy. Land of 10,000 blondes.

Minnesota had a Governor that wore a boa and was the only state to vote against Reagan in 1984. You should be proud. I'll take Perry

Somehow, I think Jesse Ventura could kick Perry's ass with one hand tied behind his back, even *with* the age differential.

Minnesota went against Reagan by less than 15,000 votes nationwide, or about 1 per lake.

And that's because Mondale was FROM here and (just like you Texans, apparently) state loyalty won over common sense.

Of course, no harm done, as Reagan won in a landslide anyway.

Can't say we'd have the same outcome if LaRaza Rick wins the GOP nomination.

Cheers!

Yah -- but behaviour changes. If you're gonna act like Pollutico is a reputable source, you're going to get called out.

(Let's take an extreme hypothetical to make the point clear: if I suddenly went all pro-Romney on everyone, you wouldn't merely reply, "Wait! g_w was a Palin fan. He's O.K.!")

Cheers!

What does Lynn Sherr of Parade Magazine know about Texas, or the Perrys?

This is my turf, my county and my state.

I think you have a problem.

This “controversy” is being engineered by the Dems. You are too slow to see what is happening. With the Dems you always have to keep your eye on the shell and hope there is really a pea under one of them. But the best tact is to simply not play their game.

They all Lie. All Commies Lie. Especially the Muzzie Commie Bastard who resides at 1600 Penn. Ave. (and his minions).

Something that’s bothered me since Cain and his staff said that he couldn’t answer questions: wouldn’t he have had to sign that/those non-disclosure legal forms? In that case, how could he claim no knowledge of the second and make his first claims of being ambushed?

Mrs. Perry doesn’t sound like she’s expressing political ambition. That sounds like someone who sees a problem and wants “to make a difference.”

1. May be because he is a black guy and they have to deal with accusation/law suits of racism if they fired him?

2. Wait and see, may be some other women who worked for him in the other companies would come out and say that he sexually harassed them...more to come.
